Congratulations for quitting! I've been smokefree for 10 months today, best thing ever!! Just get exercising, go for a walk or something if/when you get cravings instead of replacing it with food :)

I decided a few weeks ago that I am going to run a marathon, am on week 7 of c25k now... I wasn't going to do it for a few years yet but this is tempting me to try next year too!

I never thought I would be able to run for more than 2 minutes but now I am on week 7 of c25k and jogging for 25 mins straight :) Also I never thought I would even try on a size 10 dress again, let alone fit in one nicely :)))

Hiya, I'm just about to start week 6 of c25k, it's gone by quickly and I have improved so much! I've gone from struggling to run for 60-90 seconds to jogging 20 minutes straight yesterday! My advice would be just to stick at it, take it step by step & also make sure you rest your legs enough!

I go to Pure Gym in Bournemouth & love it. There are plenty of machines etc & some great classes included - the value for money is amazing! I also love the relaxed atmosphere, I prefer the way you let yourself in to having to stop at a reception desk etc, it just seems more relaxed & less opportunity to feel judged? Also…

I used to get shin splints badly after trying to run on a treadmill for just 60 seconds, I got some compression leg sleeves which have really helped me, I don't get them anymore! Because it was actually getting me down that I was always going over even though it hasn't damaged my weight loss at all so I thought I'd stop tracking it until things stop going so well then I'd start concentrating on sugars more.

Yeah I agree with this, can't afford to keep buying new clothes so I'm just left feeling frumpy in too baggy stuff! When I get to my goal weight I'm going to go on a shopping spree though!

I had the same thing on Monday too doing Week 3 day 1 of c25k, I knew it had 3 minute jogs in but thought there were two sets of 90 seconds then two sets of 3 minutes so wasn't expecting it straight after the first lot of 90secs.... the second one was harder after realising but we did it!!! Well done! :)

I find compression leg sleeves really helpful for shin slints & calf muscles... I just have the sleeves at the top of this page: http://www.synergyaction.eu/zensah-recovery-product-line.php ... in neon pink! They definitely do the trick for me, but then I don't run nearly as far or long as you at the moment!
