I have 25 pounds to complete my weight lose adventure and have been struggling for two months to get past a plateau so need a big kick in the butt to push me forward. Will commit to 1/2 of my needed 25 pounds so 12.5 by New Years Eve! Good Luck to everyone!

Not impossible, as you see there are many of us here who had to start at one point. Just remember to start slow with a routine and eating that you can do and stick with. Starting out cold turkey and way too much will only burn you out and become impossible to keep up.

I have been using myfitnesspal for quite a few months and am down 75 pounds so far, with about 25 more to go! But am always willing to help anybody kick it in the butt!! Good Luck on your path to getting healthy!

The "starvation mode" that MFP warns you about when you go under 1200 calories has happened to me twice now. You work out hard all week, stay just under your 1200 calorie diet each day and when I went to weigh in actually gained .8 pounds! Your body goes into a saving mode and won't let go of the weight. Only talking from experience, but yes your body will let you know if you are not getting enough.
