So do I. Of course it's ground for a divorce.

Yes you can do it. Odds are you wont get a place though (unless you go for a charity one), so you might have even longer than you think. ;)

A better thread title would have been UK Tossers, imo.

I am currently digesting the awesome power of OATS.

You really don't need gels for a half. I don't bother with them for marathons either, but I can kinda understand where people are coming from for a full. Just hydrate at some of the water stations and I'm sure you will be fine. No need to over complicate things by stuffing some vile tasting gel in your mouth. ;)

A four pack of Special Brew from Bargain Booze followed by a slap up take out from Harry's Fish Bar.

Two of the most awesome foods ever? My thought is you should listen to your trainer and chow them down. :) Do you mix anything with your oats? I sprinkle some nuts and blueberries in with them as I find porridge a bit dull on its own. Dunno if that helps.

It's very easy to go too fast when you make the transition from treadmill to outside. Just slow things down to begin with until you can run your distance. As the previous poster said it will come with more experience. Or get yourself a GPS watch if you like, they are pretty cheap these days.

Me and my girl were out walking around Mam Tor near Edale the weekend before last when we had that beautiful sunshine. Beautiful place, beautiful day, had a picnic at the top. You could try this site for some ideas on walking in the Peaks (and elsewhere): http://www.walkingenglishman.com/peakdistrict.htm

Can't say I've ever been in that situation but I think the advise above is right. Just make the changes for you and with luck when he see's you get the results he will join in too. The only other alternative I could think of is to beat him with pain sticks until he comes round to your way of thinking.

Like you I also used to do my exercise in the evening. I can honestly say for me it's been the best change I have made switching my cardio to first thing. Totally sets me up for the day ready for whatever comes my way. These days I get up at 5.30 am every day. Wake up and drink some water, usually neck a quick hit of diet…

I deal with this by sleeping. :)

Best stock up on it now before the government slaps 20% VAT on it later this year.

Doesn't suprise me. Shamefully though, the UK isn't that far behind. :(

Are you sure thats just tobacco your smoking there? I don't see any face.

Sounds minging. Thanks for introducing this concept to me first thing in the morning OP. :frown:

I've also heard a lot claims about it. I don't know the validity of them but all I can say is I've never noticed it preventing me from losing weight when I wanted to. Your right though, it is pretty much worthless from a nutrional point of view.

She's asking for advice on how to get past 2 miles. Your advice is for her to run 30 and work on 70 if she can handle it. Makes perfect sense.

10k... serious business.
-
I run 70 at my peek in the run in to marathon, will be doing similar for an ultra. Advising someone to try to get to 70 miles a week for their first 5k? What planet you on brah?

Lolled hard at this, thanks for a great post. Would read again A++

So you actually knew the answer already, you do realise exercise burns calories right? Not so hard to eat plenty if you are doing lots of cardio. I'm also a big runner and I usually have one more full meal than my girl each day. Also seriously I'm 5'6" and I weigh about the same as him, that weight at his height doesn't…

Might as well buy now before the CONservatives slap 20% VAT on whey, as they've now decided it's apparently a luxury.

Yep it looks really mean. In much the same way a little kitten looks mean when playing with a ball of wool.

Don't worry. The pretext to invade Iran is currently being set, soon the US will seize the oil supplies of another country. Hopefully this will keep SUV's running cheaply for a couple of extra years, breeding another generation of overweight kids. So at least mfp won't go out of business soon. God bless America. :)

I don't think sandals are important here bro. It sounds like you are so used to doing as your told you might as well just wear a dress - clearly you aren't used to wearing the trousers.

Sounds like you spend a lot of time looking at men bro. Good for you, everyone needs a hobby!

Hide things in the house, move them around, deny all knowledge of touching them. Tell her you feel a presence in the house and think you see people there when she is out. Get your friends to stand outside at night wearing white sheets at rattling chains. When she finally is carted off to the madhouse you will have the…

> joins calorie counting website > says people who count calories have a disorder Nice logic

Really don't see why you are so worried. Cheating once in a while isnt bad as long as it doesnt become a regular occurance. I mean whats the point in being alive if you can't relax now and then? But hey it's up to you, hit yourself with pain sticks to teach yourself a lesson if you prefer. :)
