  • I was happy at my highest weight. Ignorance is bliss! I didn't care much for my long-term health, I liked the way my body looked and I was comfortable with who I was. Only as I've improved my health and fitness and lost weight have I started seeing my flaws, and things I'm not happy with. I've always had very high…
  • Wasps. I can't be anywhere near one. I'll run out of a room if there's one in, and I've jumped off a moving bus to avoid one before. Only after screaming and crying and running around the bus flapping my arms around. That was about two years ago.
  • Have you got GPS signal? It'll tell you, if so. I had a friend who I recommended it to last summer. She was saying for weeks it was just timing her, then realised eventually that she didn't have GPS on, so it was tracking her time but not her movement.
  • I'll do so now! You'll be my first active friend!
  • I use Endomondo. Very reliable, lots of statistics and totally free.
  • I wouldn't change a second of my life. Sure, I've been through a lot of bad stuff, but it's perfect now - if I'd not experienced the bad, I doubt my life could be as perfect as it is, or that I could appreciate it.
  • Yep, I do know that feeling. I do think it's a case of diverting your attention elsewhere, but if I'm honest I don't remember exactly when things changed for me, it was a slow process. I used to think about food almost every minute. I'd constantly be focusing on my next meal or snack. To some extent I still do, but I've…
  • Are you depriving yourself? You said you had a salad before you went out - do you like salad? I got over my addiction by: a) trying to focus my addiction on nutrition/calorie counting b) not depriving myself This wouldn't work for me if I ate only the healthiest foods. I'd have a salad I didn't really want, then go out and…
  • I'm on 1628 calories. 153/154lbs (have been fluctuating due to being ill for two weeks, and not sure where I'm settled on again).
  • I love: - all Disney movies - The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas - The Green Mile - Signs - The Butterfly Effect
  • Nope. Even worse (I think). Extrapounds.
  • Yep. If we're going into a basic 'why did you end up on here?' rather than a 'why did you end up needing this site?' in general, then I agree!
  • I grew up in a poor household. We ate junk food constantly, but only the very cheap stuff. I got one or two meals a day (a nutritionally void meal at home, and a free school lunch), and I learnt that food was a scarce resource to be consumed whenever possible. I also saw fast food or eating out as a rare treat - I got to…
  • Mine is on Monday. Sunday is my rest day, and I'm always my most accurate weight after a rest.
  • I am in a similar situation, but learning to adapt a little. I didn't come from a close-knit family. I had a troubled childhood and quickly learnt to be very independent. There was no closeness, no bond, I got up and I got on with life and had to fend for, and defend, myself. My fiance comes from a very close family. His…
  • Watching Eurovision. Wondering (as I do EVERY year) why I watch...
  • I'll be honest, though it hurts to say it I liked Ireland best. Jedward are finally learning to sing.
  • On behalf of the UK, sorry everyone...
  • I don't think anyone WANTS it to be hard work.
  • And so it begins.
  • I don't have what I consider cheat days and cheat meals. I simply aim to stick within my calories, and I aim to make a better choice whenever I eat out or have takeaway. Once, I might have had pie and chips from a pub, now I have a chicken wrap or chicken breast burger. Once, I might have gone for a medium pizza from the…
  • I'd consider my love perfect, but is it fairytale? Not a chance. There's a lot to work through, a lot to discuss in detail, there are lots of things to fix and a lot to compromise on. Both of us are hard to live with, and both of us have our many flaws, but you work through that because of true love. It's not all dancing…
  • Definitely. There's a lot to it. You need quite a bit of space, as there are a lot of floor exercises, but if you've got space then it's very responsive and accurate. I don't have quite enough, so it occasionally can't see me when I'm doing things on the floor, but it's good most of the time. Lots of variety. Little…
  • I use Kinect, and I put my HRM on for calorie burn. I use The Biggest Loser and Your Shape: Fitness Evolved, as well as lots of other fun games - Kinect Sports, Kinect Adventures, Kinectimals, Disneyland Adventures. If I'm using a fun game, I just make sure I put my all into it, and I dance around or run on the spot…
  • Meh. Ok. That's a shame. It seems to be getting more and more popular - if I want to understand them, I put the lyrics on the TV. Then I get all the funny phrases that don't quite translate, which add to the entertainment factor. Oh well.
  • I wear a Diana swimsuit. Sort of like a wetsuit at the bottom, with a normal swimming costume strap top half. It covers my thighs, which is what I need. I don't mind them, but I do feel that other people would like not to have to see all the stretch marks on my tree trunks. Here it is, actually. I use it for all my…
  • I buy flavoured spring water. I can't drink plain water. I'd love to have something I can carry around and add to water anywhere, but I've yet to find anything nice here in the UK.
  • I weigh every day, and record officially every Monday.
  • Ditto that. I always decide who to support on the night, based on the song rather than the country, but I quite liked our entry last year. This year, not a chance. My favourite language is Icelandic, so I always hope they'll sing in their own language. I think it's a massive shame when other countries sing in English.
  • I've only experienced it in Florida (only part of the US I've been to, and I don't even know if it's common throughout Florida. I must also bring the 'sleeping every time you learn something new' thing over here, though.
