  • Hi everyone, I'm on my rest week after finishing up phase 1 and I've been lurking and looking over the last day or two of discussions and now I'm torn over whether I should switch to New Rules of Lifting for Abs to focus on fat loss or The female body breakthrough ( both books are in the library) and return to nrolfw…
  • Brilliant lifting progress! I can definitely see a difference in your back. Your tummy is really flat so there's nothing to really go there. Well done for completing stage 1 :D
  • 5b today after work. My shoulder press progress is fustrating still on (7.5kg) 16lb Dumbells. But now on (50kg) 110lb with my deadlift. Hope everyone is progressing well through stage 1.
  • 4a today and was able to up most my exercises, did 90lb (40kg) on the squats which was something I never thought I could do comfortably after so many knee problems :) Bent over row went well as well, I've found with much better form I can do 30kg now. Unfortunately I'm plateauing right now weight wise, I've stayed the same…
  • Stage 1 and just did 3b today. Anyone feel free to add, I've just added a few of you :)
  • Did 3b today and I think I need to get lifting gloves, my poor hands are already sore from nitrile glove use at work, it was so much harder to grip. I'm generally the only girl in the gym and today the only one using the barbells which was nice, the new guys were all fighting over the machines and left when it was time for…
  • We have the same stats, just sending you a friend request your way. I'm currently 158 and but my highest weight was 190. Anyone else feel free to add. I'm initially aiming for 140 and when I get there I'll see if I need to lose more.
  • Hi everyone, I was away from the gym for a week due to lots of overtime at work, and then taking a bit of time off to maintain my sanity. Went back to the gym yesterday and managed to increase weights which was nice. 3a Squat -35kg (78lbs) Push ups- 30 incline Bent over barbell row - 20kg (45lbs) Step ups- 3kg Dumbells (…
  • Are you talking about a US size 12, because a UK size 10 is the equivalent to a US 6 and not what most people would consider overweight :s unless you are really petite. I honestly thought you could be any size to work at a gym, you are continually working on your fitness and health and that's generally the most important…
  • Great progress! Hope your shoulder heals nicely while you're away! Did 3b yesterday- I was the only girl in the gym again with like 8 guys all talking more than lifting weights! I hadto do the stage out of order because the Olympic bar was in such demand in the gym.
  • 2a yesterday Squat -25kg - ~55lbs Push ups- 30 incline Bent over dumbell row - (5kg dumbells) - 10kg so ~ 22lbs Step ups- (10kg dumbells) - 20kg so ~45lbs Prone jackknife: 3 reps with good form Extra : 2x 12 Swiss ball crunches Glad I was able to up my squats easily and the work gym now has a Swiss ball :)
  • Did 1b yesterday Deadlift- 25kg ~55lbs Dumbell shoulder press - 2 x 5kg Dumbells ~ (10kg ~ 22lbs in total) Wide grip lat pull down - 20kg ~44lbs Lunges - 2x 7.5kg Dumbells - 15kg ~ 33lbs Swiss ball crunches- body weight 12 reps Olympic bars are 20kg so around 44lbs ( but if everyone rounds up maybe I should do that too to…

  • Hi everyone! • Feel free to add me, and anyone else on this thread. I'm also a university student :)
  • I was stuck between the suunto m4 and polar ft40, I ended up getting the polar only because it was cheaper. Someone at work has the suunto m2 and m4 and the watch interface is simpler and the watch itself is really cute. I don't think you'll regret either hrm, the chest strap on the suunto is slightly more comfy and the…
