Not an eating disprder per se, i believe them to be far mor mentally complex and other causes/origins are the trigger or root of the problem. However I model and do feel an enormous amount of pressure to be thinner than I am - for some this could lead to issues, for others no, depends on how the person reacts.

Ra almonds, almond butter with blueberries and cinnamon, peppermint tea or hot water and lemon, square or two of datk choc, oatmeal with egg whites, egg white omlette (3 egg whites are 45 cals and will fill you up, plus will boost your protein macro), veg with almond butter/ veg in general, boil up some broccoli for a…

YES I GET THIS TOO IN MY GYM!! The condescending look, as if offering to lift it for you. GRRRRRRR!
-
LOL, I had to bite my tongue, but I was too in shock and worn out from my workout to retaliate!! xD
-
Sounds weird but since adjusting my diet my comfort food is now healthy things, like salmon with salad and for that comfort carbs quinoa or sweet potato. Youll find after a while youll find 'new' comfort foods you cant get enough of :D

Recently turned 18, add away!!!!

YES lifting has transformed my bod!! I may have some before pics I can send you but atm how I look now is my current progress - i try to lift at least 3 times a week and sounds crazy but cutting down on steady cardio reaaaallyyy helped lifting and eating very healthily (and more!) has been the key for me!!! Keep going!!!
-
Exact same thing happens to me, id say up your protein intake to feel more satisfied and feed them muscles :D
-
YES this is me in a nutshell, partly because I think my muscles are screaming FEEEED MEEE and also admittedly boredom and klooking for a void to fill!! I've learnt going for a leisurely walk, doing some work, reading or doing something productive is kinda like a workout - so i do that for my brain hehe :D Also, agreed on…

The topic title shouldn't be 'if you eat too much while lifting heavy', it should be 'if you eat too much'...in GENERAL, because regardless, if your caloried consumption is higher than your expenditure you WILL gain whether you are lifting heavy or running marathons! As for calorie consumption, I average around 1700-2000…

Love me some paleo, tastes and feels damm good, had a strict phase last month and literally felt incredible. After the easter festivites tide over i shall be being strict again to remember the nommy naturalnessb:D i love making friends if anyone wants to add!

Also on a more holistic note listen to your body, if you feel (honestly) that you are still tired and sore even after a days rest dont be scared to maybe skip a session of weights and do some light calisthenics/cardio to give your body a full rest, the past couple of weeks I never listened to my body saying I needed more…

One day of high calories does not a weight gain make :) Think about it - it didn't take you a day to gain all the weight, so why now? Why this one day of splurge? Do NOT feel bad. If anything your metabolisms probably revved up and burnign that ice cream thinking woah what is this lol! The great thing about this journey is…

Cleeeaaaan diet for about 80-90 percent of the time. You can probably lose weight off eating junk and staying within your calorie limit, but you won't look as defined or healthy. Whenever I eat 'clean' (so many variations on one little word) I have better hair, skin, mood...and my stomach and thighs are way way less water…

Everyone is different, see what works for you, if you struggle and get super hungry though do not be scared to eat (good, nutritious things) - heck, it could eb your body craving nutrition rather than hunger!! Do you eat lots of protein and veggies?
-
Admittedly for the first week I got slightly bloated and looked bigger but my body was adjusting, now I look far more 'defined', have heaps more energy and continue to lose.
-
Popcorn or kale chips as others have suggested!
-
Dont sweat it, I've felt better and seen more results eating more fat, I reckon I must go over daily
-
Two words: nom nom.
-
A good diet and regular exercise....sadly thats what it takes lol
-
The thing about paleo is that if people aren't careful they can fall into the mindset of 'these nuts/fats/oils are good for, so I can have loads!' and consequently put on weight due to the fairly calorific nature of these foods - a calorie is a calorie, after all! Personally I always keep track on how many nuts I am…

Willpower, healthy substitutions and when you do have them (which is completely ok! :)) fit them into your calories and enjoy! Make them occasional rather than everyday :)
-
Not even lying I've had more comments on weight loss when I started eating more than when I ate 1200 cals a day!
-
i'm about 5 ft 11.5 and 146, want to get dowb to about mid 130s - honestly I just want to lise body fat and look lean and athletic! :D I was thinking about this and thought would I still be able to lise fat if I gain on the scale :S And kadianrm they sound delicious!!! I wanna try em :D

For me 'Paleo' isn't a diet or way to lose weight, its a way of feeling energised and healthy. Ever since giving up grains for the most part I feel sooo much less sluggish and happier, and is the only 'diet' for me that I have been able to maintain. I actually can see people gain a lot easier on paleo, as they may…

While it may not be for everyone i LOVE eating paleo, i feel so much less cranky have heaps of energy and can eat a lot more whilst still losing :D Your achievement is awesome, congrats and keep it up!
-
I add it in as strength training, even though i feel a real burn I would rather underestimate my cals anyway!
-
I think my body has just had enough and wants to return to my lovely non-piggy eating ways haha! Thats a good theory, mustve been what happened i guess!!?
-
I have fallen off the wagon this week but determined to get back, would love to help others and rally em on so feel free to add!

Yep, last year, which is why its so difficult as well because none of my friends have (thankfully for them) gone through a death so they can't really relate to me so I feel even more isolated :S No I don't blame them at all, plus I do't really want to burden them with all this crazy stuff in my head when they've had enough…
