  • All wonderful replies, thank you so much! I have to say my non-animal protein experience did outline the importance of the minerals and amino acid that, say, one fillet of fish can provide! I definitely will not eat from factory farms and if I do eat meat etc it shall be from a good source. I guess it's hard for me to…
  • Feel free to add me :D
  • Oh my god kinda understood the ice cream etc but the starbucks drink is insane!!!! Glad I never go there lol
  • Even though I strive for everyday my workouts are so intense I end up exhausted and craving carbs so now I force myself for one day off and on that day I just go for a long long walk to keep happy and healthy :) rest is important!
  • You reall do just have to believe you CAN. Since I've believed in myself the results have come yhick and fast...I'm telling you the mind is a powerful thing!!! Telling yourself you can, loving yourself will mean every fibre of your being will drive to your goal no matter what - its pretty amazing!!! Honestly it becomes so…
  • Popcorn but luckily it can be tailored to be healthy...oats and almond butter and greek yogurt Ifind so hard to portion control so I have them on a higher cal day or occasionally/in small batches!! I'm also a closet chocoholic but now I cannot have milk chocolate without getting a headache, a small bar of raw/dark choc…
  • Yep totally fine there are days when I have a bigger appetite so split my cals into two meals and IF so i eat 700-800 cals of meats veggies and good fats :) really satisfying! As long as you're in a deficit overall it won't hinder fat loss
  • Fasting is awesome, look up intermittent fasting - I believe your pt is referring to this. Your body will not go into starvation mode it takes 72 hours of nothing for it to eveb start at that stage!! I fast a couple times a week and the results have been epic so far, so much leaner and more energised I think I may make it…
  • Ooja booja brands have 3/4 ingredients all natural and low cal but my personal favourite is wheyhey protein ice cream - 22g in 150 ml!!!! Amazing!! And only like 150 cals!!
  • Yes I totally get you, normally I never have a desert or anything sweet and boom tonight I did! And tes even though its under cals I still feel sucky! Tomorrow is a new day though, plus my workout today kicked butt lol.
  • YES exactly this!! Its so silly and I think with time itll be fine! But so annoying how it niggles lol. I suppose it keeps cals in check!
  • That explains it; I haven't had anything 'sweet' apart from berties for over a month! So this was a massive shock to the system lol! Thank you; a great helpful message, for me the gardest thing is balance and remembering its not a ruined day if I have something a bit naughty! I guess I never crave them most of the time so…
  • I keep my meals sustained with protein veggies and good fats and that tends to keep the munchies away - though if they sneak in a square or two of lindt dark chocolate or some nuts normally do the trick, that and peppermint tea! Keep busy as well - probably boredom!
  • Bikram yoga is incredible physically and mentally, I try make it a stsple part of my routine - need to go back since I've been on holiday!
  • Why not lift heavy and if you dont like it...stop? Trust me you can - after a couple weeks no bench press i am weak again; its very easy for your muscles to get 'smaller' again. Not tooting my own horn - just tryna convince ya hehe - but I model, particularly swimwear and underwear and obviously that means having a lean…
  • This happened to me when I started but I kept on a deficit and kept lifting and fitting in cardio and now my butt is TIGHt but smaller, at first I think its just a mixture of water retention and slight bulk until you deficit that bad boy down!!
  • I'm 6ft and I'm about 145-150 pounds (I retain a lot of water every day lol) and kindve aiming for 140/135ish. But in sll homesty I don't pay attention to scale anymore since I started lifting - the mirror guides me!
  • Ah we are the same!!! And people think its a compliment and when they make a comment I wanna die inside lol!!
  • I'm sick of being called curvy haha I just want to be elegant and slim!!! But no matter how hard I diet or exercise I will always have this thicknesd to me, oh well hopefully someone out there will love a bit of junk in the trunk!! XD
  • 1-2 hours each day, or rest days are normally 30 mins or a long walk! I mix up circuits cardio weights...on heavy weight days i do HIIT as cardio
  • Heavy lifter here!!! I love it!!! Squats and clean and jerks are your best friends :) i started out with New Rules and now kindve make my own accOrding to what I enjoy doing - enjoyment is key! I love cardio so I have to find a balance to keep me happy!
  • Nope real women are real women! Lol ;P In all seriousness I would give anything to have a slender body rather than a 'curvy' one, all my friends look incredible with small dainty hips and small chests...then theres me looking like a chubstrr compated to them X_x
  • Great post! I could not live without weights or cardio! Both are amazingly beneficial. And I eat so I can train and feel invigirated, exercise is like a therapy to me and if I feel weak I cannot relieve myself thus I do tend to eat back my cals if I feel like it that day!
  • Hmm ya know what, sounds crazy but eating more mindfully - when I eat slowly, with no distractions I don't guzzle it down and egt fuller for longer. Wanna try do that for every meal/snack of everyday!
  • I used to eat for 2 pounds a week loss but now its 1-0.5 depending on how hungry I am lol! Yes I defo ate more on lifting after a good workout I am famished my muscles scream at me hehe!!! And I read New Rules of lifting for women but kindve also did my own research on the net and compiled workouts that suited me best and…
  • I bumped mine up and not only do my workouts kick a lot more butt (more energy), the body fat has flown off me in comparison to a lower cal diet. You're still in a deficit - just a dmaller one. The aim is to preserve as much lean muscle as possible when losing fat so you get a defined, fit look without losing muscle -…
  • This. You will lose weight no doubt about it but trust me from past experience when you start eating 'normally' again (and its inevitable - your body will scream for balance and normality till you give it) you will put the weoght on soooo fast and it really sets up bingeing behaviour trust me. It is SO much better to do it…
  • I'm kindve between curvy and athletic. I always have wanted a normal/slim figure but alas tis not my body type so shall just stick to improving what mama gave me
  • Earlier today had a small bag of naturally air popped rock salt popcorn, had a real craving but was only 92 calories so guess wasn't an awful choice, was a nice tasty way to fend off junky cravings!
  • Coconut oil is made of pure aweasome among other nutrients hehe....I love it, tastes amazing in cooking and keeps me satiated!! My hair and skin looks great when I use it too! :) I use a teaspoon here and there, for cooking and in my green tea. Makes me feel wonderful, as long as you keep track of the calories I think its…
