Going to buckle down in July!…
  • Count me in for July! Maybe keep it closed for one more month and you can evaluate in July to see if opening it in August is doable for you.
  • I had one a few years ago and was terrified before I went in because of all the horror stories I had heard. It turned out to be fine! I don't remember any pain during or after which is a miracle because something always goes wrong when I go to the dentist. Good luck!

  • LOVE baseball. 7pm-10pm is dedicated to the Braves each night on my TV from April through October. :-)
  • I'm in again for sure! :)
  • Thanks for everything LC! This challenge has played a crucial role in keeping me on track and helping me set goals. Best wishes to you. :)
  • Welcome aboard! Like the poster above, I initially focused on getting on track eating habits-wise. Stocked up on healthier snacks so I wouldn't be tempted to grab cookies and chips everytime I opened the pantry. I also focused on increasing my water intake and decreasing and eventually eliminating sugary drinks. Once I was…
  • You'll be fine! I had a binge week a few weeks ago so the scale showed a gain last week. I got back on this week after a better week and the gain plus some more was gone. Best wishes to you.
  • I like to go to my local park where they have nice scenery and if you have someone with you the time usually flies by. If I'm on my own and in my neighborhood, music usually does the trick.

  • Fudgesicles have helped me lately. 40 cals each and after I have one, I usually don't have the urge to eat any chocolate candy.
  • Once a week - Mondays as well. I'm anticipating a plateau soon enough from all the stories I've read on MFP so I may change it to once every few weeks when/if that happens.

  • I get those too - sometimes right after I've eaten lunch. I usually guzzle water and if that doesn't do the trick, I grab a low-cal snack like fruit or boiled egg whites. The water usually nips it in the bud though.
  • Looks like you've gotten some great advice already but I wanted to wish you well. Good luck, you can do it! :-)
  • Get back on! I had an AWFUL week last week after staying on track religiously for the last 6 months. One bad day spiraled into a whole week of bad choices. I ate whatever I wanted, didn't control my portions, went choco-crazy, and barely worked out but I'm shrugging it off and hopped back on today. Keep logging and keep…
  • Hi, not sure if you've already tried here but there is a FitBit group on MFP. I'd try asking your question there as well - http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/1307-fitbit-users Hope you find your answer.

  • My concern is iftaar. I tend to go overboard with the fried goodies like samosas, pakoras, and what not so I'll really have to work on my self-discipline this year. I'm trying to figure out if I'll be able to incorporate some sort of workout or exercise into my day but if not, back at it after Eid. :-)
  • Just went out for mexican today. It was torture but made myself stay away from the chips and queso.
  • Not sure if we're weighing in this Monday or not but if so, here you go: Name/real name: soaps54/Sophia Goal weight on June 30th: 165 6/01: 170.6 6/04: 170.6 6/11: 6/18: 6/25: 6/30:
  • I tried this today and it was delicious! Had enough calories to throw in a tsp of peanut butter and man what a treat. Thanks for sharing!
  • If you do want chips with your nachos, you can buy corn tortillas from any grocery store, cut them up, and bake them in the oven for 8-10 minutes to a crisp. I usually season a bit with red chilli powder and italian seasoning for a kick and they actually taste really good. Better than the fried stuff that I used to buy.
  • It's okay to take a rest day. I normally incorporate one in on Friday or Sunday depending on how the weekend is going to be.

  • This is an awesome challenge people! It's helped me plan out my week and stay accountable for the past three months that I've done it. :)

  • Looking back on it, I weened myself off of sodas by taking a few steps. First, I switched from the regular stuff to diet then I started incorporating other drinks into the mix like apple juice, iced tea, the little Crystal Light packs that you can use to flavor water and eventually I quit all those things cold turkey. I…
