  • I agree with the others. Rest, wait it out, and only get back into it until you feel 100 percent again. It is a total a** kicking workout, so it wouldn't be safe to do it while your body is fighting off infection. Just start back up where you left off as soon as you feel better. It isn't cheating, its life. :) I understand…
  • Insane abs: fail. The ab jump things in plank?? WTF. I can't do them, or the T-kicks with a jump. I feel uncoordinated today. :frown: It was my first cardio conditioning + insane ab combo...blaaah.
  • When I feel like this I drink a few glasses of really ice cold water, then some green tea, and it can help calm my cravings down a bit. I also keep sabra hummus (any kind) and carrot chips on hand-it is tasty and feels like I am eating something like chips and dip. Also-almonds sometimes satisfy my "junk" food…
  • I am from Norman and have family there (I moved to Vegas 7 months ago) and so far I've only heard about damage in Washington OK and 2 deaths. I haven't heard anything from Chickasha but Norman was ok, check news9.com. Hope your family/everyone in Oklahoma is safe! Those tornadoes are really, really scary. That is one…
  • Great job Skolls! THAT HAS TO FEEL SO GOOD!!! I am just excited to see 3 weeks ahead of me, everyday I get a little more excited! What are you planning on doing after Insanity? I was considering doing it all the way through again, and maybe adding some light running as well (at least in the first month.) I am wanting to do…
  • I have rosecea and my face gets very dry/red, so I used Clinique redness control liquid foundation with some clinique pressed powder on top! It really is the only one I've tried that controls my redness, plus it has SPF! I tried different revlon/maybelline/cheap combos before: NEVER AGAIN. You can really tell a difference…
  • I just had to change this about myself: I weighed myself EVERY day and started getting really discouraged. I mean some days I'd be down 3 pounds, and then the next I magically gained 5. I would let it really get to me and I started getting depressed on the days that the scale was up. I found that my weight fluctuates…
  • I am in a similar boat. I exercise regularly, am fit, but I have a tendency to overeat. I am trying to just pick something that I can snack on that isn't bad (carrots, any veggie really) but I always tend to go for salty carbs instead. I am 5'3 and weigh 135 and am trying to get down to around 120, but really the number…
  • I got the hype and I massacred that plyo workout today! TAKE THAT SHAUN T! Hahahahhaa thanks a lot for the encouragement! And this may be sick..but Honesty Moment for the day: I have to wipe off my tv screen after I workout because when I am jumping around sometimes my sweat flies onto it...hahahahahahah nasty. (Especially…
  • You are so right. I lost 50+ pounds just by cutting out soda, fast food, and I biked everyday for 30-60 minutes. People seriously thought I was lying when I said that is all I did, but it wasn't a lie. And still people insisted I either took a pill, starved myself, or was on drugs-that I couldn't lose weight as quickly as…
  • I've never done p90x but I LOVE INSANITY! It is such a great workout and you start seeing results very quickly. I had initially planned on doing p90x but I didn't want to buy weights or a pull up bar, so when I found out that INSANITY only uses your body I picked it instead. Good luck with whatever you choose!
  • HAHAHHAHAHA I was going to "quote" pretty much every comment from everyone-skolls, casey, and peachtree because you are all cracking me up! THANK YOU ALL- I needed that today. And peachtree- I can't even imagine watching any of the Asylum right now. I'd probably smash my tv. And I totally understand the "casey face plant"…
  • HAHAHAH this made me crack up! Thats how I feel before I do it- I just think to myself "seriously?? AN HOUR OF THIS!!?" but afterwards I feel SO good/whipped. Good job on your progress though! Those are some really nice changes and I am excited to see where I am after I finish these next 28 days. I did max recovery today…
  • 5'3 right here-trying to lose 20 since I joined! I FEEL YA!
  • GIRL! You need to be excited over the fact that you are now a size 14! That is a major victory!!! Instead of looking in the mirror and seeing defeat you need to see all the success you've accomplished, and you should feel good about. I understand its tough-but focus on the positives! You have done an amazing job to get…
  • wow you are all going to REALLY exciting places...as for me, I am heading back home to Oklahoma to visit my friends and family since I moved to vegas 8 months ago! My boyfriend and I are going during our three year anniversary so we can go eat at the restaurant he took me to on our first date- definitely not counting…
  • I am as sore as I was in week 1. OUCH.
  • p.s. Fruits too! Can I peel kiwis and keep them in tupperware? I just want to be able to pick up what I need without having to take a while to cut and wash everything. I find that I eat a lot healthier when I can take it with me.
  • p.s. they advertise that while really talking about month two, where the workouts are over an hour long and a lot more difficult. Tricky, I know.
  • I either did calisthenics (vigorous) or taebo to log insanity before I got my heart rate monitor. For the 40 min workouts I was burning around 650 cal, and I am 5'3 135lbs. I STRONGLY suggest getting a hrm because everyone burns differently. If you are only lightly pushing, you are going to burn less. If you are doing the…
  •  OH! Light bulb. hahahah you all make me laugh a lot, and I like that. On the other hand: just finished the fit test + max interval circuit. Still laying on the ground, can barely type. NOTE TO SELF: EAT MORE BEFORE THESE WORKOUTS. Holy SHHHHHH! My heart rate reached 196...and I am pretty sure I had more…
  • I feel like shaun T and her have something going on. :) Just finished fit test 3...now my first max workout...will post later. (aaand sorry for the rambling last night. Its amazing how much my alcohol tolerance has gone down since I've cut back on drinking. I am such a lightweight now. Cheap date?)
  • Yes its the "hunting" that is always my downfall. I have chicken breasts and salad stuff which would take awhile to prepare, and then next to it there are things my boyfriend buys like hot pockets and cheetohs...WHICH IS FASTER?! LOL! Its not even like I crave those items, its just the availability of them! And working in…
  • Hahah a post *kitten*! Well I certainly appreciate ALL of your posts so keep "whoring" on. :) And this pasta sounds pretty tasty. Thanks!!
  • I never thought about pre-logging. That might help a LOT. I also need to just chop/wash/store things as soon as I get them-I find myself throwing away produce because if I don't see it, I don't use it. Thanks for all the advice. Any suggestions on light dinners? I am trying to come up with variety because I think part of…
  • Hey! Feel free to add me as a friend. I am pretty happy with my body as of now, but am still trying to tone up and define. I try to help whenever I can in areas of fitness/nutrition knowledge and tips...plus this site helps a ton with motivation. Good luck!

  • DAMNIT! I just found out that I leave for Bonnaroo ( a music festival in Tennessee) and that is on a Thursday, but I finish the 60th day of INSANITY on FRIDAY! Mother! I am frustrated. I am thinking that since the last two days are max cardio conditioning/insane abs and then the fit test, that maybe I will try to squeeze…
  • bfl- WAY TO GO! I can see so much of a change! Your neck, your stomach, everything is smaller and toned! Keep it up you look amazing!! And NO! Damn I forgot to take 30 day pics...I have some when I first started insanity but im not even sure how to upload them. Plus I think I broke my camera, it won't turn on :(.
  • I don't think it would hurt much to just do the workout as scheduled and just have it take longer than 60 days. Since you're a nurse that means that when you work you are on your feet the entire time, so if you have to take an extra day off to recuperate instead of just one it shouldn't be a huge deal. FYI: the fit test…
  • Hahhahah Casey I FEEL YA! I have two days of so called "recovery week" left. EEK!!! I am excited but seriously nervous. ANd yeah, my hip flexors are on fire as I type this. It is the knee up, then pulse, then extend that kills em. Also, the shoulder burners in plie kicks my *kitten*...and thighs, and abs, and…
