Good thing about salmon is that if its medium rare OR rare, its still safe to eat. I prefer my salmon medium rare, warm but not all the way cooked but not cold. It doesn't turn white but like the above post says, it turns lighter. If you cook it too much it will get tough, just cut it in half and check the inside and see…

Trader Joes is MY FAVORITE! I love their EVO spray, it is great to for when I am cooking something like an egg or tomatoes and don't want to add a lot of oil but don't want to burn the food, one little spray coats the pan and doesn't add a lot of oil or calories! AWESOME!

In insanity there are TONS of squats, and one of my favorite varietal of doing them is called "squat kicks" where after you squat you come up and kick your right leg then back into a squat, come up and kick your left leg. It works the glutes, legs, back, and also your abs.

Very RECENTLY single...from a 3 year relationship, but overall I feel really happy, like I can breathe again! I wouldn't be opposed to dating. I just hope whoever I find has some sense of commitment or at least likes to have fun, because I am SO tired of dating lazy guys!

P.S. I am very fluent in smack-talk! Its my first language. :)

Looks like those two got there first but I wanna also!

greek yogurt! When its plain it tastes like mayo or sour cream (as someone stated earlier) plus I add some SIRACHA! The yogurt and siracha mixture reminds me of spicy mayo that they use on sushi and it tastes SOOO good. I usually have a tuna sandwich with siracha, yogurt, and sliced cucumber. mmm now I want that! lol

bump-i'd like to know as well!

Although 230 does seem very high, I have to agree with xfaultx....EVERYONE is different. There are 2937429387 factors that go in to how your heart rate is determined and every single person has differing factors. I found this out because when I do INSANITY my HR has gotten up to 200 (usually 190 is my peak) and I have even…

So i have a question for everyone- I was supposed to start recovery week on last Friday...but we moved that day and since then I haven't fit in a single insanity workout (so 6 days) because unpacking and moving plus work has completely drained me. Let me tell you, carrying beds/dressers/other heavy furniture plus unpacking…

Oh I remember recovery week workouts...eeek! HIP FLEXOR HELL! Congrats to everyone once again! I have to share my NSV today- I did the Cardio Power and Resistance workout (I am repeating week 4 one more time before recovery week) and I did it without pausing the DVD once! I was really proud of myself, not only did I not…

I do something like this but use steel cut oats, and when they are almost done I throw the sliced apple into the pot with them so the apples get warm and then sprinkle cinnamon in at the last minute! I also take some of the apple wedges and use my bullet to blend them up (and add a little water) then pour that into the…

Oh, and if you need a quick idea for breakfast I have been making a fruit smoothie with protein powder in it. I just buy a frozen bag of organic berries (blueberry, raspberry, strawberry, and blackberry are currently in my freezer), add a half of a banana for creaminess, some water, and soy protein powder. It really fills…

One thing I've been eating a lot of is greek yogurt mixed with different flavors. When you get the plain kind, it tastes like sour cream (to me) so I use it as a condiment a lot. My latest obsession is multigrain sandwich thins (just a lower cal bread) with sliced cucumber and "spicy mayo," which is greek yogurt +…

I love INSANITY! I am on month 1 (week 5....I actually should be on recovery week but I wanted to do one more week of month 1) and getting really excited about MAX workouts. I did INSANITY once before and was in the best shape ever! Then I slacked off and fell out of my routine, but about a month ago (5 weeks to be exact…

Bump- sounds delicious! I love leeks!!

This just CRACKED ME UP! I totally understand what you mean, I watched it since its been awhile from when I actually had done month 2-and it scared me AGAIN. But- its SO worth it. Month two really kicks your butt into shape and I could tell a difference after each workout (or so it felt like.)

Congrats on finishing month one ladies!!

Oh girl i feel your pain, I am a server and the restaurant I work for is DELISH, plus the chefs prepare us dishes all the time and they are usually covered in butter and oil.... SO I will tell you my secrets. First, eat before you go, that way you KNOW deep down that you are full and don't want anything else. Second, take…

I feel ya on this one. I still have around 10 pounds that I would like to lose but I am toning up by doing insanity. My problem area is my stomach, I like it WAY more than I ever have but I still want it to be flatter and firm. I have heard weights do help...I plan on trying p90x after insanity...we'll see after my 60 days…

So I have a new goal that I think I am going to try, I want to do one last week of month one before going into recovery week. Why you might ask? I want to do each workout 100% through. I am getting to the point where I can do each interval full out but I want to do an entire week of month one at 100% before moving on. When…

Like I said, it happens. Good for you for moving forward and learning a lesson, it usually takes experience to learn! (at least for me) And like I said, life happens, but its all about the motivation and determination that you are showing now to jump back into it! Even after two days of skipping insanity and…

WOW the pb and chocolate bananas sound DELISH! I might have to try that since I am not good at finding low cal/low fat desserts!! Thanks!

o..m.....g. I might throw up. That is the MOST disgusting thing I have ever seen.

Tomatoes! I love them! I put them on everything, sandwiches to salads to omelets to pasta to just plain! Plus they are juicy so I usually don't have to use a dressing on as many things because of the juiciness of the tomatoes! Also- hummus. I love it! I use it instead of mayo on wraps and sandwiches. Also, with carrots as…

HAHAHA I know exactly what you two mean!!! The funny part for me is that my boyfriend will no longer do it with me because he says I make it too competitive! I don't mean to, but when someone else is doing it I just want to win lol! Like if he did 10 suicide jumps I would make sure that I would do 11! I didn't mean…

Hey it happens! I went on a two day "staycation," (I live in Vegas so there is lots to do) because my boyfriend and I had concert tickets and a two night stay on the strip. I took my laptop to do the INSANITY workouts, my clothes, HRM, nikes, - AND STILL didn't work out! I was so mad at myself, I mean it was only two days…

UGH I need to hide my scale! I get so depressed even though I KNOW deep down that its just a number and it fluctuates (sodium, water intake) but no matter what I tell myself, if I see a lb increase I am pissed the rest of the day. I think I will tell my bf to just hide it from me because its does frustrate me. He always…

That sounds tasty!! I am always looking for snacks to take the place of salty, fattening foods like chips and this sounds good!

I am lately obsessed with cucumber sandwiches on multi grain sandwich thins (only 100 cal per roll) with nonfat greek yogurt mixed with sriracha chili sauce. I love spicy, and the yogurt + sriracha mixture tastes like spicy mayo, like the kind that comes on sushi rolls. Its delish! And I am a big texture differences fan…
