I'm 4 months post postpartum with my first, and I am 35. I was about 145 when I found out I was pregnant. I ran and lifted until I was 35 weeks when my body said "nah, baby nah..." and started walking. I was about 171 when I gave birth. I'm about 148 now - I'd love to get back down to 135, I haven't seen that in years, but…

I've lifted and done body weight training off and on for years, but my favorite thing is running. After doing my first full marathon, I decided that I wanted to increase my upper body strength, so I started really getting into strength training/lifting about a year ago with a personal trainer. While my weight hasn't really…

Thanks! I run alot and work with a PT twice a week. She has me doing a HIIT based workout that incorporates a lot of bodyweight exercises (push ups, burpees, etc) and multi-muscle weighted moves (weighted duck squats, dumbbell rows, concentrated curls, overhead presses, bench-presses. etc.) I'm using 12-15…

Height: 5'2 2011: 155 2015: 139 I'd love to see 133 again, but I know I'm a whole lotta muscle, like food and booze in moderation so as long as the clothing fits and I don't want to curse the mirror, the scale isn't touched much. The struggle is real.

Edit: I probably should add that I'm 5'2.5 and I was a size 10/medium to the left and a size 4/s/xs now.

5'2.5" Heaviest: 185 (High school, but I didn't look it -- long, long time ago :o ) SW: 154 CW: 140 GW: 125 or a sold/muscular 130 (got down to 131 and started a desk job) I don't have a time, though I'd like to be maintaining by August (slow and steady boys and girls). I run (a lot) and do circuit/body-weight training. I…

Hi OP, I don't have anything crazy inspiring to say, but I completely understand what you mean! I'm short (5'2.5) and have always been stocky (even at my lowest weight of 125) and I'm constantly comparing myself to others, even though I know I know I shouldn't. I have to remind myself that even if I'll never be what my…

Genetically, I have big calves and years of soccer and running have only made them stronger and bigger. If I stopped running, they'd get a little smaller, maybe a half inch, but that's it. I'm a size 4s, (5'2) so it can be difficult to find jeans that fit my 15.5 inch calves. I've learned to embrace my man calves, because…

5'2.5" and the highest I was. was 155. Lowest was 132 and been stuck at at 137-139 for about a year now. I'd love to get to 130, but my body (and love of chocolate and beer :o) has been pretty consistent where I am now. I run (a lot) and need to incorporate more lifting. Feel free to add.

I'm right there with you. I dread lifting, but know I need to do more of it. Count me in.

back down to 135lbs = 5lb loss boot camp = once a week, every week zumba = once a week, every week I was there in February, but a new job (active job to sedentary desk job) helped put that 5 pounds back on. LOVE the job, but need to get more active.

i'm 5'2.5. if you see my profile picture, that's me at 154 (left) and 135 (right). i've gained about 5 back, but i feel pretty good around 135.

Thanks! I have spent hours going through the search looking up any/all information with regards to this topic. I hate when people say "they don't make you gain" period. I don't think that's completely true, either. For some people it is, but not for everyone. Everyone's body and hormonal/chemical make up is different and…

i am 29, 5'2.5 and weighed 138 the last time i checked and had a 25.6%bf. i'm pretty muscular, so i really wouldn't want to be lower than 125, though i was about 133 last year. i'd like to get to 130 as a norm and 23%bf.

that is me exactly!

i'm one of the few lucky (and sometimes not so lucky people) that work at night. so i usually get up around 9:30-1030am to workout/run. it really just depends. i get off work at 1am and i don't have children to tend to, so i have some flexibility.
-
i definitely prefer to run outside. i found myself able to run much farther and enjoy is so much more. i'll run any way i can, as i have a treadmill at home as well, but if i can get outside, i'm doing it. regardless of whether you are on a treadmill or outside, you ARE running.

back in 2011, i went on a generic of celexa for anxiety and pmdd. the first three months i didn't notice much of a difference in weight, but then after that i gained bout 15 lbs in about 4 months. the pills made me gain, however, i wasn't logging my food/watching what i was eating or exercising nearly as much. so i think…

feel freed to add me. i'm 29 and new to the boards, though not new to MFP. :o)

pretty much this. before last year, the furthest i had ever ran was 5 miles. i'd always considered myself a runner, but now i'm a serious runner. the only other bit of advice that i can give is have fun with it and take your time.

welcome. i've been on here for a year now and LOVE it, though i am new to the message boards. fill free to add me.

first time poster, but i've been on here for over a year. i did really well last year training for a half marathon, lost almost 20 lbs but then i kind of got lazy putting in my food. the last few months i've been struggling and REALLY need to get motivated to get back on the ball of things, especially since i'm training…
