I have the same problem. I quit for a while & then go back to it. I try to always drink a glass of water before I have one, so I feel real full & it cuts down on my consumption.

I ride around the lake 10 miles a day. However, most years December, January, February too much ice. What do you guys do during those months? I don't find indoor riding that interesting.

Wow, that is great thanks for sharing. I started on 1/4/12 at 169.5, a couple of days ago I hit 136 lbs. I am 5'3" I am so happy. I bet you are too. I think MFP is fabulous. And you look that way too.

I started in January 2012 at 169.5 I am 5'3", I am now 137.5, I am 57 years old, I am so happy. If I can do it you can too.

what is considered hour glass exactly? I am 5'3 bust 37, waist 29 & hips 39 after a 30 lb. weight loss, hoping for 5 more.

You can't mess around with diabetes. I am not qualified to give advice, but I think a doctor should steer you to a professional nutritionist who can get you eating right. Just don't give up.

I turned 57 last month. I started this journey in January & have just about met my goal. I find sitting at my desk at work, I want food. I work 4 10 hours a day & the afternoon get so long. Good Luck.

I am 5'3, 57 years old. My goal is to weight 139 1/2. That will mean I lost 30 lbs. I have 1/2 lb to go. After that I may lose 5 more lbs, but maybe not.

I wouldn't do it if I wanted to lose weight. I think the 1200 calorie threshold is bogus. I started in January lost 20 lbs so far. At first I tried to eat 1200 calories, but I realized I would never lose weight on that.

I kind of feel the same way. I have been doing this for about 12 weeks & I just hit 20 lbs. I thought it would be faster. It is discouraging but what choice do we have. If you stop & regain the 11 lbs it will all be for nothing. Even if takes you a year to lose 60 lbs, at least you will eventually be there. A couple of…
