I am a biker also. However, in the winter months I can't ride. However, so far I have rode my bike in December 3 or 4 times & January 1 time. I am hopeful that the ice from the streets will be gone to at least ride one time in February. I think a 3 hour bike ride to work is way too much. I mean 3 hour there & there hours…

I weigh myself at least once a day. Maybe 3 times on during the work week. Once I get up in morning. Once when I get home from work & once before bed. I find that I can usually count on weighing 2 lbs. less in the morning that I do before bed. I like to keep track. Today I was 1/2 lbs. up. Although disappointed, I know…

Be careful! I have seen some horror stories & alot of successes. Just don't ever let yourself get "fat" again. I have seen it over & over again.

To top it off, WW at work is a problem. They started a new computer program & only let groups start if the registered thr the portal, but the portal wasn't working until 1/15/12. We tried to sign up at the beginning of December but they made us wait 6 weeks, I found this & said forget it. I already lost 7 lbs. & will by…

When you feel the urge to eat, & it is not the right time. i. e. evening or mid-afternoon. Try brushing your teeth Or gargling with Listerine. Everyone likes a fresh mouth & it makes you not want to ruin it with food.

I take one every day. If you are worried about Sodium, which I am not, there are some newer varieties with less, just look at the box. It beats going out every day & I don't feel like preparing a lunch.

Hello from the cold state of Minnesota. I wish I was in California. Can't do anything I like, with snow on the ground. Bicycle or garden. I already lost 11 lbs. started on 1/4/12, incredible I know. I plan to lose 20 more lbs. I will then be within my "healthy range. Good Luck.

that sounds delish. My mother, who was Italian called it gravy, haven't heard it called that before. Please post your recipe.

I am 5'3", I have been as small as 110 when I was young (in my 20s) & was too thin. In my 40's 125 was perfect. In my 50's 137 is my goal. Right now I am 158, started out at 169. I have been dieting for 4 weeks, so I am pretty pleased.

This sounds great, I am going to try it, I am sure my husband will like it too. Especially if I cook.

I agree, don't worry so much about the proteins & carbs, it is the calories. Once you put what you ate, tomorrow it will be in your "data base" & it will be easier.

All of a sudden everyone will notice. People are so polite, they don't want to say anything in case you were sick or there was something going on. Buy a new outfit to reward yourself that fits your new "figure" & I bet people will notice.

Thanks.

I am so glad, we didn't get it yet. I am in Minnesota & so far very little snow, but today is very cold. Maybe the high of 1 degree.

sometimes dogs have seizures when they are dehydrated. Just a thought.

I have always been interested in Wiccan & Paganism, but I am a novice. I am trying to lose weight though, & interested in learning more about you all. .

I was going to join weight watchers at work, but they have computer problems and they weren't starting any new groups. I am so glad I found this group. You ladies are a chatty bunch, & I love it.

I like it. My challenge would be to avoid Diet Soda, stop eating out, doing some strength exercises at least 3 times a week and only weighing myself once a week. Thanks for the suggestion. I am with you.

Thank you for starting this group. It is really nice, to read your comments. I just started last Saturday & doing great so far. I made Buffalo Chicken Wing Mac & Cheese from Hungry Girl recipes & it was delish. I brushed my "Aussie" pup & he looks so good. Thanks for the inspiration.

that is the hard part about being a parent. I think the only thing you can do is be a little bit "selfish" & make healthy food, if the kids complain & don't eat, just remember that you are really doing something good for them too, they just don't know it yet.

I am your same height, & my goal is 138 lbs. When I was younger I got down to 110, but felt "sickly"

I just found out about MFP this week-end, I am 56 & have my weight has yo-yo all my life. I have been successful on Weight Watchers before, & set to join an at work program, however, Weight Watchers has suspended at work programs until they get their computer portal going. So I guess, I will save the money & do it this…
