Never... I see it as trying to make an excuse to eat more. If I need extra calories that bad I can go for a walk/run/swim first.

Don't quit just because the first day was harder then you expected. I didn't have a problem with the first week and got up to week 3 where I was stuck for 3 extra weeks. For me some of it was mental.
