^^^ This is amazing & so true!

Take pictures all the time especially when you feel like there is no change and you know you've worked at it, a little change is better than none at all. Keep moving, keep focused. Don't beat yourself up if you aren't moving as fast as you think you should be, it didn't pile on you over night, it won't come off over night.…

5'3" CW: 143 GW: 126 Really struggling! :-( Think I shot my metabolism with years of doing WW. Then tried to eat more to lose weight and gained 10 lbs almost instantly. Now, am trying 5:2, with two days on 500 cals and the rest on 1800. I exercise pretty consistently. Since am nearly 42 years old, am giving myself 6 months…

(Well you be blessed too! Anyone can do this at any age. There really is no mystery. I used to think my metabolism was broken, low thyroid, adrenal fatigue, menopause, stress (well stress is certainly a factor in managing hunger hormones). I did the frustrating diet yo-yo for 15 years and finally achieved my dream at age…

Hello all, Have done one fast day, and today is my second. I will weigh and post results on Monday. Also, since I cannot exercise right now due to a bad back, this will be a food only challenge for me. I hope to go back to exercise soon enough. Good Luck everyone, and here's to the three month challenge!

Hiya, Just about to embark on 5:2. I am 5'3", and 142.5 lbs. Would love to get down to 126 lbs. Have been reading about people's amazing success with 5:2. Question: How many calories do you eat on non-fast days?

Gosh! This is so fab to read. I am panic dancing at the moment as I feel and look bloated and overweight... But hopefully, it will kick in soon. Thanks for the motivation.

Back on track girls! And still not weighing!! A few NSV's though. Bought myself a size 10 UK Gap dress (which I know is a generous 10) but it fit beautifully. So something is shrinking! Have been bloated all of last week, so that could've been the TOM, as also the erratic food, wine etc. But am back on it, and will…

Hahaha!!! Thanks for the kick up my backside! Needed it.

Thank you! That is a fabulous post that inspires and communicates all that is great about this process. I, for one, have sworn off the scale. I refuse to get on it/go near it. End of. I don't want it messing with my mind while I do this. One week in, and feeling very good indeed.

Thank you! Where can I buy dr mercola pure protein powder? Also, have already started on HIIT. Will let you know how I get on.x

Oh! It helps a great deal!! I think we all have moments of self doubt, where we wonder if eating this much can actually help with losing weight. But the results that people are seeing speak for themselves! I, for one, am enjoying being able to eat without guilt, and KNOW that I am fuelling my body, not depriving…

LOL!! This is too funny! I have too much of a jelly belly right now, but hope to get that down soon.

Thank you everyone for writing in! This week I am focussing on meeting my TDEE numbers. Next week on I will try and get the macros right. So far : Great energy, sleeping like a baby, and uniform seems a bit looser. What's not to love???
-
Thank you for all the info!! Do you manage to cover all your calories this way. Maybe because I've trained my body to eat so little, I find I fill up quickly, and am normally looking at 800+ calories to cover, come dinner time!! But you are right, I am only 3 days in but my energy levels are phenomenal! Won't be going near…

Thanks Slammy1079! I think it all lies in being prepared. I will attempt to eat at least 2000 calories as hopefully that'll take me over my BMR - exercise cals burnt. Excited about this journey!!

My Goodness! All of you are so AMAZING, and such great support. This site is a Godsend! God Bless Lucia and Kiki. I am still struggling to up my calories, and falling short by a couple of hundred. But I intend to persist and hopefully, in time my body will accept that it is being fed, and will never be deprived again. It…

Wow! This is so inspiring. Thank you for taking the time out to write all this for me. I know that the logic behind this is sound, but it is a leap of faith for someone who is used to eating a lot less. Also, as I am a flight attendant, a lot of my eating is at odd hours and with whatever is at hand. I shall endeavour to…

Wow! That Simple?? Done. Thank you soooo much.xx

Thank you guys for all your help!! Really excited about EATING to lose weight! Who would have thought that after all those years of deprivation, the key is just to FEED your body???

Thank you! But how do you work out your TDEE?

I'm a newbie here and equally confused! Would like some help on getting my TDEE sorted? Am moderately active and on MFP have my cals set at 1500. Have been stuck at the same weight for the last 6 years. No wonder, as I have been consistently under eating!! Have upped my calories to see where that takes me, and have noticed…
