  • Isn't that a little like saying, "Oil vs Gas, what's more important for my car?" Keep an eye on both and you will do great!
  • I remember my ex-wife laughing out loud when the girl with the claymore mine strapped to her blew up in the movie Swordfish. She was eight months pregnant at the time. Freaked me out just a little.
  • On a personal note: My gym recently upgraded their equipment, replacing my beloved LifeFitness 9500HR elliptical with a newer LifeFitness elliptical. The old machine was telling me that I was burning 1000 to 1200 calories in an hour. The new one tells me I am burning 800 to 900 calories per hour. Considering that I was…
  • I do a full hour twice a day monday to friday and I always get through it 3 minutes at a time. Good music helps. At the gym they have several tvs on several channels, so I always find myself wandering between them. I play little mind games to keep me going like calculating the calories for an hour if I have completed X…
  • LOL I was going to say... "Which one is you?" Now I know why, thank you! P.S. You look fantastic!
  • Mmmmm, Guiness Float. :drinker: Now that does sound like a good idea! 500ml Guiness: 176 calories I scoop Rocky Road ice cream: 290 calories Total for a good sized Guiness float: 466 calories. Not Bad!!! - Cheers!
  • I don't know. I dated a girl once who kissed really strangely. Honestly, it felt like I was getting kissed by a dog (no, I don't mean she was a dog, she was very attractive). Too much tounge action. It was just weird. I really like kissing, hugging and all of the things that can lead to (whether it does or not), but I…

  • I love Punta Cana (Dominican) to just relax on a regular touristy spot, but you will find that Tortola is gorgeous!
  • Okay, I have to ask: What is the correct way to compliment someone who looks great and is obviously working hard to get there? As I guy I always find that it is a bit of a mine field trying to figure out the "right" thing to say to compliment a lady without sounding like you are coming onto them.
  • I started on January 8 at 234 pounds. I am now 212.5 pounds. During that time I have done 2 hours on the elliptical most days. It can work, but the elliptical is likely over estimating calories and if you are eating them all back, then you are getting the loss you expected. When I started in January I could barely do level…
  • Last and final attempt. (I swear I will not have anything further to say on this thread). Perception of the word "fat" and what it means to different people is a key part of the issue here. If you were having difficulty with a test or filling out a form and called yourself "retarded" in front of someone with an actual…
  • Wow, talk about exagerating a point. Is this how you win arguments? If Bill Gates came up to you complaining that he didn't have enough money, would you be offended? Can you even understand the point? Or is everything solely from your perspective? By the way, skinny people have never made me feel fat. Being fat did that to…
  • A little sensitivity would be nice. I am really trying to lose weight, but I don't call myself fat in front of friends of mine who are bigger than me. Now, if the skinny girl wasn't saying it to you, then it is none of your business. If, however, she is telling you directly that she is fat, then she needs to grow up and…
  • You don't call this a complaint? Curious. When you decided to put YOUR in caps, what sentiment were you trying to convey?
  • You see, this is why I quoted everything. Everyone who is complaining about the complaint is basically saying don't complain.
  • I see, so you can complain about this, the skinny girl can complain about being fat, but the heavier person who has to hear about it can't complain about anything? Hypocrite
  • Yep, I used to go through a bottle of Extra Strength Tums every couple of weeks. There wasn't a night I didn't have acid reflux. Within a week of starting here it was gone! No special diets, just watching what I eat and getting regular excersize. Hope this helps!
  • True, but I must admit that I was a little concerned when I found that caramel coloring was the 2nd (yes is said 2nd) ingredient on a can of diet coke. There is more caramel coloring in there than flavoring. Yikes! Nonetheless, I have no intention of stopping my 1-2 cans a day habit. Cheers!
  • Every Friday evening without fail my girlfriend and I share a bottle of red wine. Basically, she drinks a glass and I drink the rest. I put in my diary every Friday and then I work my butt off to pay for it. Cheers! :drinker:
  • Sad thing is that you can't even call it laziness when the person is typing extra letters. Text shorthand drives me nuts BTW (lol) *quick smack to the forehead* Arghhh. You have got to wonder if you are still right if everybody else is wrong?
  • You know, Monday to Friday I do an hour of cardio before work and an hour of cardio after work. On the weekends I usually get one more hour in on Saturday. That adds up to between 9 and 11 hours of cardio per week (varies depending on circumstance). I personally have found that I don't get anything without working for it.…
  • Honestly, I refuse to give up anything. I log it, I eat it, and if it puts me over, then I work it off! In 2 months since I joined I have eaten/drank: Cake with icing Homemade lasagna Aproximately 20 beer At least 10 bottles of wine 5 or 6 chocolate bars 10 or more strips of bacon 2 Mcdonald's cheeseburgers (the little…
  • I am a little nervous myself. I am about to get my passport picture done and I am in the process of losing another 45lbs. :ohwell: Congratulations on your weightloss!
  • My kids love it when I make them Daddy's Cheesy Surprise (which I learned from my Mom): Kraft Dinner Tuna Chives It tastes great!
  • Every Friday evening without fail my sweetheart and I share a nice bottle of red and watch a movie at home. I couldn't think of ending a week any other way. :drinker: Just for the record, I also start my Friday morning by putting my wine in and then planning the rest of my meals around it. Although I was a big wine…
