Congrats! Very nice work.

They tell me you must change the IMG to img in order to make the pics show up.

Leading by example is always the surest way. Congrats on the accomplishment. Endeavor to persevere.

Yep, you're livin' on the edge, philliesgirl.

I track my sugar because I got the "diabetes" talk from my doctor. I try to stay under 33 grams per day. Most days, I am able to do that by reading labels, cutting out fruit juices, and eating very few things that have added sugar. I still eat fruit (not a lot). I eat a lot of veggies - mostly raw, because of preference.…

There is also the "Horseshoe of Intelligence." When our children are young, they perceive us as kings, and more intelligent than the greatest thinkers (Einstein, Plato, etc.). As they near the teenage years, our I.Q. begins to dip a little, as we start to have less and less knowledge of what it is like to be a young person…

Awesome! Every new notch is cause for celebration. Way to go!

Did you look behind the couch? I find everything behind the couch. Seriously, behind the couch.

I've read this entire thread. So far, I'm at a complete loss to figure out what Charlie Brown's friend with the security blanket has to do with any of it. I used to be the strangest one in the room. Do the handlers know you people are out? :noway:

I'm having heart palpitations ... and I think I just drooled on my shirt. Good stuff!!

Great going, Chuck! I know you're excited (I got similar good news a couple of weeks ago). Take that excitement and let it feed your resolve. It's the best way to keep the good vibes flowing. Ken

Mine was private when I started. Then, I decided that I wanted a little more accountability. I worried that someone would beat me up (verbally) over my choices sometime. But, I decided that I'm the only person who walks in my shoes and I don't really care what others think unless I ask. If I do ask, I don't have to go open…

I thought "Beneath the snowy mantle cool and clean, the unborn grass lies waiting for its coat to turn to green." was "Beneath the snowy mantle cool and clean, the unborn rat lies waiting for his bowl of turnip greens." Helen Reddy "Snow Bird" Also, my Dad used to call me rooster poot. Being from the south, he kinda ran it…

I haven't quite gotten to that yet. I still had some clothes from my current size left over from before (I'm pretty sure bell bottoms for guys will make a comeback). For my next progression, I'm planning to visit my local Goodwill. Then, when I get to the permanent size, I'll donate them back. I expect to have two more…

I think I'm getting it. If today would not exist in anyone's memory but mine, and there were no consequences at all, I would start my day with a bowl of Fruit Loops ... and by bowl, I mean mixing bowl. I would bathe (I don't want to remember being smelly). I would walk through the town naked, just to see the reactions. I…

Hi, yh! Welcome to the community. I think you'll find that everyone who answers your question will give a little bit different answer. The trick is to make it your own. When you set your profile, log your food, do your exercise, the most important thing is to be honest with yourself. Sure, it sounds easy enough ... and it…

I don't know that I'm farther along the way, Bob, but I'm already your friend. This is my way of bumping the thread, man.

Bump. Need to refer back when I have time to read these. :-)

I have a pilot license and I live in the 615 area code.

That moment when you wake up from a nap on the recliner and no longer have to search your belly button for your cell phone because your belly button is shrinking. Uumm, TMI?
-
Riding since I was six years old. Currently, '03 Harley ElectraGlide Classic.

My belly button is getting smaller. Just the other day I found the keys to a car that I traded off two years ago. :noway:

Opinions vary about whether more support is better or more natural is better. It is worth noting that most of the companies that make athletic shoes are now making minimalist versions of their products. I love mine. It just takes a couple of days to get used to having something between your toes.

Like I mentioned on your page comment, I like the Vibram FiveFingers. I have the classic and the Komodosport LS. The classic is a little better for indoor stuff and the Komodosport LS is good for walking and running (slightly thicker sole). I tell people that it's like walking barefoot, but you can walk across the gravel…

Congrats on your success! So far, my favorite has been putting on a belt and being unable to buckle it because you've run out of holes. Endeavor to persevere.

From my perspective, it looks amazing. I'm with ninerbuff, though, in that the only thing that really matters is what you think.

I went through something like this last fall. It seemed like the more sugar I ate, the more I wanted. Consequently, I developed a blood sugar problem. Now, I don't know whether the cravings caused the problem, or the problem caused the cravings (maybe some of both). What I do know is that it was so serious that I could…

I agree completely. Also, as someone else mentioned, if it's a 3-month thing, they're going to be looking at your A1C blood glucose. I changed the background color on my blog (you said you couldn't see it - black letters on red background). It told of the results that I got back from my 3-month checkup after getting the…

I'm completely addicted to the success pictures. A big thank you from me as well. Your stories and pictures help to make me feel as if I'm not alone in this and it helps me to imagine others fighting the same demons that I fight. It helps to know that bad habits can be broken and great health is attainable. Endeavor to…

The most amazing for me was when I looked down and saw my belt buckle ... three months ago, no one could see it.
