Welcome aboard! Congratulations on your choices. Since you aren't yet sold on diet pills, take some time to review the posts in the Success Stories category, as so many people have reached their goals without those pills and the side effects they can bring. Good luck!

Bumping for you; posts get lost very easily in these threads. Make sure you go to the Groups page at http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups and enter the search term nurse - there are some groups there that would have similar interests. Welcome aboard!

Eating more cowbells.

I remember a few years back I drove a colleague to McDonalds every morning for 4 days so she could get her fix, and each time I got a sausage biscuit without feeling any real hunger (they smell amazing). A week later I was still getting them every morning. Three weeks later I was having to fight withdrawal-type hunger…

Thanks for sharing

That's great news! First of many losses. Post again when you decide on your reward.

Don't think in terms of 'dreamblocker'; the term itself removes any control you might have over the situation. You're not doing this for anyone but yourself, and you have total control over what you do. Look inward for your motivation and keep working hard :flowerforyou:

Wow, sorry about that table saw injury, glad you're healing. Welcome!

Since you love to cook, what about trying healthier versions of foods you love? For example, chocolatecoveredkatie.com for sweets, others for savory/salty, etc. Log faithfully & make it a game to find recipes that mimic things you truly enjoy.
-
Some will have to wait a bit longer than 1-2 weeks; it took me 3 weeks. I gained a little in the first 1.5 weeks [ETA: after increasing calories] but stuck with it, which was not easy - but I'm thankful I did. My loss is much better now with more calories.
-
Those are really good points! Logging keeps a record you can show to health providers, and also the fact that thyroid levels or other imbalances might be affecting you.
-
Why don't you try faithful logging of your daily intake? Not counting your calories might be leading you to over/underestimate some things, so it definitely would not hurt in order to try to reach goals that are very important to you. It does get easier over time. It looks like you have a lot to be proud of for what you've…

Great job!

Just relax and stick with your goals. If your clothes fit better, I wouldn't call that running in place.
-
Talk to your doctor, especially If you're still nursing.
-
I'm sorry you're frustrated. You have no information on your situation, so more details might help. If you're at a plateau, that means you've lost at least some weight; maybe you're being too hard on yourself.

I'm not a Trekkie, but I still enjoyed it - thanks!
