I do this once per week...but honestly it's wearing thin, I don't particularly like or enjoy it anymore. I suppose that is good though. I feel that is a measure of progress in itself. I don't like the way I feel when I 'junk out' anymore...it's not a happy feeling like it used to kind of be. Stuff that used to taste good…

I was 30 when my one and only was born.

Heck no!!! I don't even LOG my coffee!!!

^^^This. But then again, it's still socially acceptable to make fun of fat people.

Bottom line, skinny does not always equal healthy and fat does not always equal unhealthy. Read up on the Edmonton Obesity Staging System and the studies surrounding it.

You got me cryin'!!!

This is a joke, right!?

I wonder if people judge my cart. I do buy frozen pizza and soda (1 12pk a week for hubby). You won't see much produce in my basket, but that is because I buy Bountiful Baskets and don't need to get that stuff at the store.
-
I do notice what people put in their carts, but this thread has made me realize I never really pay attention to their weight. I'm more horrified by the fact that cooking is fast becoming a lost art...no one knows how to cook REAL food anymore. That makes me sad!

My favorite job EVER was working as an autopsy assistant. But I only did it part time because the pay wasn't great. I may go to mortuary school when I retire...

I still use regular sugar. Just not a ton. I also make my own creamer out of milk, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, and caramel syrup. Much better than the store bought liquid stuff.

I love it with tomatoes and salt & pepper. I love to top pineapple, strawberries, or peaches with it. I love it plain though too. With garlic pepper! Yum. I am a cottage cheese-o-holic. It's pure protein too!!!!

Have whatever it is. Snack sized candy bars are great.

Suggestion: Make your own coffee creamer, using skim milk, FF sweetened condensed milk. 14oz milk 1 14oz can of SC milk I also add a splash of half & half to this mix Add flavoring if you like. To mine I add 1tsp of vanilla and 1 tsp caramel syrup. Lower cals and better for you than the store bought crap. Now that I make…

Deprivation doesn't work. It's a mental game. Eat those things, just in smaller portions and not very often.

Add me! Mom 1 one precocious 5yo girl!

I just recently used smoked paprika for the first time, it was called for in a recipe I tried out for chicken enchilada spaghetti. I love it!

Apple Glazed Pork Roast Get a picnic roast, about 4lbs or so. Season to your liking. Cut up 6 granny smith apples into quarters and place in the bottom of your crockpot. Place roast on top of the apples. Mix together 1/2c apple juice, 5 tblsp brown sugar, and 1 tsp ground ginger. Pour juice mixture over the roast. Cook on…

I make a sandwich out of a sandwich thin, a serving of lean meat, 1 tbsp of Miracle Whip and a boiled egg. About 270 cals and adding the egg keeps me full. I also eat cans of chicken breast meat with eggs or cheese or cottage cheese and fruit.

Yes, it's too far. Get a grip. One pancake and a sliver of pizza are not going to wreck your journey. I've worked long and hard to have a good relationship with food. There are going to be times you are going to be faced with not having 'your' food at your disposa. You cannot live in a bubble. Enjoy the party! If you are…

Hats off to those who do it. I freely admit that I would SUCK at being a SAHM. No desire whatsoever. I have a decent job that I enjoy. It provides good benefits for my family. I think it's better for my kid that I have a job...mama is much happier.

Nice!!!

Congrats! I'm a post op as well, had surgery in 2004.

Peanut Butter and Cinnamon...

^^^Eloquently stated! I'm glad that you wrote this post. There is a LOT of misinformation on this site about weight loss surgery, to the point it makes me want to stop reading these posts. I think your perspective as someone in the healthcare field, is important as well.

If you got that route, the gastric bypass or the DS is more effective for losing a large amount of weight. I honestly I wouldn't band my dog...I've seen too many people struggle with it, and not really lose much weight. At 370 a band would be a waste for you. I had gastric bypass surgery in 2004 and lost 160lbs. Close to 8…

Every surgery has risks. It is true enough, some people have complications, some people it doesn't work for, but that is not the majority at all. Being obese is far more likely to kill you. Yo-yoing can just as adversely impact your long term health. I went from 280 to 170 on my own, and then gained back all I lost and…

I had RNY in 2004. Lost 160 total, 22lb regain over last 2 years, 10 lost since I've been using MFP to get myself back on track (even got pregnant 17mos post op and only gained 15, lost 24 after she was born). Absolutely the best thing I've ever done. I know a LOT of banders, and the majority wished they would have done a…

You refer to her as a 'good' friend...a good friend would have already KNOWN what you were trying to accomplish!

Actually, I think brown and aqua would go well together. Who cares if it's 'seasonal' or not...it's your wedding, do what you want!
