Thank you everyone I tried all of your ideas and today run 1.5 miles without any pain ! Wahoo :D Shame my shoes are too small :/ going to send them back but I have just upgraded to the newer model for an extra £10

You are probably retaining muscle if you are doing a lot of new types of exercise your body isnt used to. Once I did a workout dvd and held 3lbs of water weight for a week then all of a sudden it all come off again plus more ! Give it a little time frustrating I know but you will see differences soon :)

Oh my God thank you :D This gives me so much hope. I was beginning to think that yes the shoes don't help but maybe my body just doesnt like running cause I get pains every run. I have had 2 pairs of Nikes definitely 100% taking these back now. Even if it does cost me extra for different shoes if it means no pain runs then…

Thanks my old shoes were bought before I even new about gaits etc so they are just as awful but didnt give me as much pain as the new ones. Will definitely be going into my local store. Trust me when I find a pair of shoes that my running style suits Im sticking with them for life lol.

Thank you all for your advice :) I have only ran in them twice and they dont even look like they have been ran in at all really just a bit of dirt so I think I am going to clean them up see if the shop I got them from will refund me (though they only do store credit) and go to my local running shop. Thank you I kind of did well the guy told me I over pronate and said about my arch just by looking at an old pair of shoes and doing the west test thing. Okay thank you very much for your reply :) It only really aches on one foot so im hoping I just had them a tad too tight :) My previous shoes were completely the wrong gait etc and too wide so Im wondering whether it could be because they are used to that :S

Sports Direct - If you want a cheaper but still good running trainer this is where you should go and where im about to go to get my new shoes for my 10k lol. Thank you guys :) Yes I would generally like to increase my fitness and lose fat / weight I am also training for a 10k race so run 3 times a week. I am unsure of whether to try this or new rules of lifting for women first.

Me and my boyfriend run around his local lake together every Sunday morning :) its such a nice start and sets you up nicely for the rest of the day :)

With the 30 day shred I stopped losing weight completely too but yet saw a dramatic change to my body shape this is because you are losing fat but gaining weight in muscle

Thank you for your advice guys I hate doing nothing so I think I may do some yoga indoors opposed to going for a run in the cold.

Because that is only my first weight goal I may extend it. I have been eating at 1200 calories for a long while now and upping my calories is incredibly hard so I will up them more and more as I progress :)
