Yeah, I'd suggest going with pork also, is long pig not in the database?

Lentils, beans, while these might not be considered low carbs by all they are complex carbs and they would fit in with your goal amounts. Lentil soup is a fantastic filling meal. I use lentils to bulk out meals where I use veggie mince. Quorn mince or grounds as it's called in the US is good for protein and low carb, 9.0g…

Yep, most homes will have a set of scales or a measuring cup. I have both, I use the scales when I want to know exactly what amount I'm eating but I will use the measuring cup when I'm just baking and want to have a rough idea. Usually when baking cakes or dough you can tell by the texture if it hasn't enough of something.…

I just use a bit of butter. If I'm trying to be really careful I will spread it on one side and press two pieces together so there is a bit on both! I weight it and just make sure I keep within my daily limits.

Pisto, Paella and Potatoes. It's either worse than you think or better.

Usually, by the end of the day I've logged quite a bit, depending on what I'm cooking. Yesterday my evening meal had 14 items. I'm not logging as much as I used to as I've been ill for months and housebound, I'm not cooking but my partner does when he has the time but also some days I'm asleep until 2pm. Having said that…

Remember you should be netting around 1200-1500, so if you aim for 1500 net, burn 500 a day you need to consume around 2000 calories. I lost 48lbs last year and ate more than I have done in years. I went from eating around 700-1000 calories a day in the week and around 2000 at weekends to eating anywhere from 1500-2500 a…

As most people say, you aren't eating enough. Follow the road map as linked in the first reply. Don't be scared of eating more, give it a few months, there might be some fluctuation to begin with but don't panic. What you've been doing recently hasn't worked so try something else. Don't go by hunger, I've been overweight…

bluefox9er - I really like number 2 but I think I'd go with number 11.

My favourite way to take it is cold. I love Frappé, even when it's cold out. At home I like the odd milky coffee, a third skimmed milk, 3/4 teaspoon of good quality instant coffee and one sugar. I also like it black and really strong. At weddings, work meals, etc. I do like to use a bit of cream, someone already mentioned…

I'm the same, I usually hate remakes, I did like what Rob Zombie did with Halloween though, but I am curious to see the Evil Dead remake. Otherwise I'm a bit behind, as usual. I don't have a lot of trust in new horror so I usually don't bother until it's released to rent, wanting to see American Mary and V/H/S in that…

Usually tall/dark hair/rocker/nerd/skater. Now I just can't be bothered to even think about a type, just someone with similar taste in music/movies/books, Drinks cider or snakebite and black and loves pizza. Similar outlook to me and similar beliefs. This is why I ended up with my best friend of ten years.

Lot's of good posts here but I thought I would chip in with some personal experience. About ten years ago I lost weight cutting calories and some exercise. I didn't really follow any advice I was just doing my own thing. I was successful but I found I would have to keep cutting to carry on losing weight. I got to 144lbs,…

This is my all time favourite salad, the warmer the weather gets the more I have it. It's only around 350 calories, it's lovely with a bit of crusty bread too. When I do my usual weights it works out as: Calories 344 Carbohydrates 21 Fat 20 Saturated Fat 6 Protein 20 It contains a peppery rocket salad, cherry vine…

I've been diagnosed with PCOS and recently have been put on metformin. I do find it slightly harder to lose weight but as other factors have made it harder it's hard for me to determine how much of that is down to PCOS. That being said I have steadily lost weight over the last year. I think the best thing to do is not to…

Nothing is stopping you so be positive. You do need to see it as a long term change though, not something to get over and done with. Weight loss is gradual, it is hard to take this in when you read about celebrities dropping 5lbs a week, this is an impossible figure, they aren't losing 5lbs of fat a week so pay no…

of course, everything in moderation. Plus if you aren't denying yourself you are less likely to over indulge. I make my own from scratch sometimes, I do my own dough - make a thin base, make a sauce with celery, carrots, onions and tomatoes and then fill it full of veg and some cheese, always amazing! I think some fresh…

I'd say that' too low, I'm a 5'10" female aiming to lose a lb a week and I'm on 1740 and I actually do need to lose weigh! I'd say you're setting a bit of an unrealistic goal and although that day looks good to me I would think if you really want to lose some weight set it for 1/2 lb a week and no higher than that.
-
Honestly you will learn to eat more, I used to eat a lot less than I do now and look at the amount I've lost! If you want long term results be sensible!
-
Because it's your first week. Don't see it as a diet, this is a change for life. Looking at your diary I'd say you aren't eating enough. Do you weight your food out? Log exercise? Follow the recommendations, set your diary to the amount you should try lose a week, I'm guessing maybe only 1lbs? Stick to this and just keep…

Fantastic! and H&M sizing is always a bit on the small size as it is so that's even better!

I tend to get similar cramps to menstrual cramps during and after exercise, it's a bit of a pain, well it's actually a lot of pain. It does fade quite quickly for me, I do tend to ignore them and get on with it though, I'm hoping it will get better in the long run as I lose weight.

I'm 5'10" and currently weigh around 230lbs but I honestly don't feel like I carry it that badly, my current photo is recent. However I find it hard to adjust my brain to thinking what a normal weight is for my height. Growing up I was constantly surrounded y my mums magazines that always seemed to suggest anything over…
