Good for you! I think we all have those days we just feel "blah" and don't want to bother, but don' you feel better that you did? :flowerforyou: I have to keep telling myself that it's up to me, my responsibility, and change won't happen if I don't get off my butt. And believe me, I'm the Queen of Excuses! Just keep up the…

Hey Julie, and welcome! I am a mom of 3 and also a teacher (a new one! Just got my Master's in Dec. so currently looking for a teaching job). I currently work as an Educational Assistant at an elementary school, teaching reading. I agree with you, summer should be a time where we have plenty of time to devote to…

Whew! Thanks for making me look at the fitness guide again, that is just for the Kickstart week, which I guess I'll count my running as the extra workout  Guess it helps to read things first, huh?

And I really need to figure out the "quote" thingy...... haha

MayDay, thank you! That's exactly why I got the program too.....30 minutes is totally do-able, but trying to fit it another is not always so easy! Sure, if I worked out for an hour everyday, I better look amazing, right? And so far, my running is giving me the best calorie burn by far. There, I feel better~ lol

Day 3 Cardio 1 completed! Holy cow! Now a confession...... I didn't realize that you are suppoed to do 2 workouts a day. I run 3 days a week (c25k) and thought "wow, I'm kickin' but with running AND doing a workout"~ lol! Maybe time to re-think and on the days I don't run, add in the extra workout? Any thoughts/advice?…

OK, guess I didn't pay a whole lot of attention to the workout plan......2 of these a day?! Now I am wondering what to do..... I run 3 days a week and wondering if that is enough in addition to one JMBR workout per day. Otherwise I would have to come in after my morning run, do a workout, then another one at night.…

Amazing, great job!!

First of all, 110 looks great on you, you look healthy! Iam also 5'5" and can't imagine being at 110 again. As for the cellulite, sadly a lot of it is hereditary and no amount of exercise can get rid of it (I have found this out the hard way!) and losing the weight usually won't help. I think you look amazing at your…

It took a while to grow on me, but I love the Fage 0% nonfat. I also use it as sour cream, and love to put some of the Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix (in the packet) for a veggie dip. When I eat it otherwise, I have to put in a packet of Splenda and have a parfait with strawberries and blueberries, with a sprinkle of…

For me, it varies. I usually eat about 80% of my exercise calories. With me it's a mental victory on the days when I've worked out and feel like I ate more than I should, but MFP shows I still have calories left  And on the nights where my hubby says "lets go have margaritas", I am grateful to have those extras!…

Great job! You should be really proud of yourself

Way to go!!! Don't let the scale psych you out, inches are what matters and girl, you look amazing!

Well, just completed workout 2, and boy is my chest sore~ lol! So far I LOVE it, the people working out cheer you on, very encouraging  And may I say Lana (the one with 3 kids in the video) is my motivation. I too have 3 kids and I'm determined to reclaim my body at the old age of 45~ haha
-
Well I'm gonna say WOOOHOOOO! Love your enthusiasm! I did my happy dance when I got my Body Revolution yesterday, and just completed my 2nd workout. I love it! Have fun and kick some butt!

I am with you on the diet plan....... was reading through it last night and telling hubby about it, his reply "sounds good, but will the kids eat it?" That would be a NO~ haha! We are both trying to just eat healthier, the recipes look like they would send my grocery bill through the roof

Meerkat 70..... first of all, you go girl! It's all about getting healthy and sounds like you're doing something right! And second, your last comment.....obviously you're doing what works for you, so keep it up! I guess I'm not a "runner" since I'm doing the C25K, just a jogging "slacker" who's getting…

First, I wish we could all be supportive and quit making snarky comments....... I have hypothyroidism (was diagnosed when pregnant 7 yrs ago). My weight slowly started creeping up and I got sick of it and decided to do something about it. I started running about 7 weeks ago, eating better, and have noticed a big…

We got a Health-o-meter at Walmart. It programs in your height & current weight, your target weight, calculates your BMI, water weight, body fat %, etc. And you can program it for up to 4 people. It was about $35. Hope that helps!

A couple of things: I turned 45 this year and realized I'm only 2 years younger than my dad was when he died unexpectedly (alcoholic, smoked, didn't take care of himself....after a quad bypass 7 years earlier). I think of how much has hppened in my life with marriage and having my children, and all of this he missed. I…

Just got my Polar FT4 on Tuesday and love it!

Bump! Would like to know, too! We have 2 different ones and can't get the same reading ever!

Ha, we thought the same thing! "so you want me to go from running for my longest of 8 minutes to more than double that at 20? Are you insane?" Will admit, had to stop twice for about 10 sec. to grab a drink of water, but made it through. On week 6 day 3 today and had to run 22 nonstop.....yes, had to stop twice again for a…

And totally understand the "living on the sun" comment! Supposed to be 100+ for the next several days here in Nashville.....which is why we get to the park around 5 am to do our run:happy: I keep telling my husband we need to actually run in the heat if we are going to try to run a 5K since they occur during daylight…

My husband & I started this together, and just finished W6D3 today.......had a hard time going the whole 22 minutes (had to stop 3 times for about 10 sec. to get a drink of water) I have lost 7 pounds, hubby 24. I could barely run a quarter mile without feeling like I was going to die before we started, which is sad for me…

You go girl! He's in for quite a nice suprise! You look amazing:smile:

Wow, I wouldn't think 131 is overweight, and who would know that about her anyway? You look amazing, they are probably just intimidated
-
So glad you're going thru what I am with your hubby~ he texts me every evening on the way home asking "Margaitas? Been a while..." I ge so mad at him and say "you may have the extra calories to drink but I don't! Thanks for being supportive!" And his big numbers.... I totally get that too! Hang in there, we'll be hotties…

I tried to use them as meal replacement, but they didn't leave me feeling full. Now I use them after a run as a post-workout snack:smile: I do love that they are low carb with lots of protein
