Thanks for posting this! It's so comforting and validating to have this information.

I COMPLETELY agree with the above. 100 lbs. is too thin. That is basically the weight of an elementary aged child. Take it from a fellow 5'3 woman - You should stop and be happy right where you are. You look beautiful!

I'm 31 years old and have had 3 kids. I gained 25 lbs. w/ my first child, 50 lbs. w/ my second, and 53 lbs. w/ my third (whom I had just last May). I was able to get the baby weight off with all 3 pregnancies within the first year. It was difficult, but doable. I will say that the biggest challenge is finding the time and…

They say you drop a pant size w/ every 10 lb. weight loss.

I'm 5'3. My heaviest was 210 lbs. I fluctuate between 125-130 lbs. now. Would love to be 120 lbs. but am struggling to get there.

I am 5'3 and was 175 lbs. when I began my weight loss journey last July. I weigh 127 now. I consumed between 1200-1400 calories 5x a week and roughly 2000 calories on weekends to prevent my body from getting used to my diet and cause "caloric confusion". It worked. I would still like to lose another 7 lbs. but have noticed…

I feel your pain! I have a MAJOR sweet tooth. I don't like to deny myself the few simple pleasures in life, so I buy those bite size candy bars and put them in the freezer (I love them frozen). When I'm having a craving for sugar (usually after dinner) I allow myself 1 maybe 2 of the bite size treats. It really helps and…

I have the same problem!!! Once I find a store with jeans that fit me I have to buy 1 in every color.

Absolutely log it! That happens to me sometimes. My weight won't budge for 1-2 weeks and then all of a sudden I will drop 5 lbs. in a week. Congrats!

I'm only 5'3. Does that count? I have the worst time finding "petite" jeans that fit my curvy hips.

I don't mean to go against all of the other posters here, but I drink 2-3 cans (max.) of diet soda a day. It hasn't prevented me from losing any weight and I've lost roughly 50 lbs. since last summer. I drink about 100 oz. of water daily, so I don't feel guilty in the least for my soda intake. As long as I'm eating…

Don't be too hard on yourself. We all have days where we "cheat". I know some may disagree, but personally I think it's healthy emotionally/mentally to take a break from the diet on just 1 meal every week or two. I've heard many dietitians recommend 1 "cheat meal" a week while dieting to not only help with any cravings you…

Hello all! May I join? I really need to make some friends on here to help keep me motivated. My name is Jill and I am 31-year old SAHM. I have been married for nearly 11 years and have 3 children; ages 9, 5, and 7 months. We live in the suburbs of St. Louis. I have struggled with my weight my entire life. You could call me…

I am also a mother of 3 living in St. Charles. I have 2 girls, ages 9 and 5, and a boy, age 7 months. I have been trying to lose my baby weight since July and have lost almost 50 lbs. so far with 10 to go. I joined Gold's Gym in August.
