I'm going on vacation in a couple of weeks and I have already been thinking about a shop where we are going that always has homemade candies. My favorites are turtles "on sterioids". They are absolutely to die for. I just need to make sure I cut it up in little pieces and not eat a whole one in one sitting. I haven't had…

Sounds yummy...

Yes, level 2 is a killer. I actually have sweat dripping from my forehead each time and I have completed it consistently for a week now. And, I am not able to do everything she wants because my knees don't like some of the moves.

I think I would feed your musles a little something. Think protein! Cottage cheese, cheese stick, glass of milk.

I think we all need to resign ourselves to the fact this is a lifestyle - not a way to lose a bunch of weight and then fall off the wagon. When you become dedicated to losing weight, think of it as a lifestyle. I have battled weight all my life and now have around 10 pounds to go. But this time I know I cannot stop working…

I also started 30 day shred and even though my knees won't let me do everything full force. I am noticing a difference in muscle tone. And I have been doing 30DS since 2/20 and have lost 1/4 of an inch in the thigh area.

Maybe its the type of food you are eating. I too am on a 1200 calorie diet and typically only walk for 40 minutes per day for my exercise. Granted I'm 49 and that probably had something to do with it. But last week I took a look at the fat and refined sugars I was consuming - all staying within my 1200 calories. So this…

Really this is no different that being diabetic and needing to keep your suger level even. My late husband was diabetic and it was always much better to plan the entire day in advance.

I do better if a plan my meals the night before.

I try not to eat cereal anymore. I simply cannot stop after 3/4 of a cup. But my all time fav is Honeycomb. I could eat the whole box in one sitting.

Shopping for free sounds like fun! Congrats!

Oh, and I have a low or inactive thyroid that doesn't help. And am taking tamoxifen for breast cancer and it has a side effect of weight gain.

My thoughts exactly. I'm 49 and have been trying to lose 10 - 15 pounds. Started watching my calories and exercising and getting nowhere. Just this week, I decided to boost my protein intake and cut out refined sugars totally and have dropped a couple of pounds. At our age, every little thing we put in our mouths…

Thank you. I sure hope so. Trying to get into a bikini I wore 2 years ago. I can get into it; I guess I just need to get toned. Started the 30day shred DVD last week.

Wow! So many options.

Would never have thought to add rice krispies to pudding. Probably makes it seem more satisfying.

I am 5'4" and would love to get down to 135 pounds. I have been at 145 for the past couple of years and have been maintaining a size 10. But over the Christmas holidays, I went as high as 150 - my 10s were starting to get tight. That scared me and I knew I had to get serious about losing some weight and getting healthy. My…

I would bet that I personally will need to continue to log in - just to keep me honest. I am looking to maintain my weight after I reach my goal. Before MFP, I used to keep track of my calories on a sticky note on my desk each day. I found it hard to be consistent with my diet because I would quit using the sticky note…

Very interesting. I've been thinking about doing such a thing as I never take breaks either. The only time I leave my desk is bathroom & to get something from the printer. I am amazed you burned that many calories. Wow!

I started 2/20 and have completed every day except yesterday. I think I will plan on taking Sundays off. I believe my body needed a break. I have been very sedetary the last 7-8 years and had no idea how out of shape I was until I started doing this DVD. Knees are giving me a problem though. Osteoarthitis runs in my family…

Yes, photos are worth a thousand words. Great going.

I used to not eat bananas because of the high calorie content. However, with logging my food and generally trying to eat healthy bananas are a great snack that fills me up.

You look amazing....like a totally different person.

Awesome! Keep up the good work.

I started the 30 day shred on Feb 20th as well. I have completed it every day this week so far. Not sure if I am getting stronger or not. I had no idea my arms were so weak. I am using 3 lb weights and the front shoulder raise really does me in ever time. I am not able to get the weight up to eye level as she instructs!…
