Is there a pool? I either run for 30 mins or do a 25 min swim concentrating on sprints.

I've been making bpc for a few days now as a meal replacement in the mornings. I'm using extra thick double cream in place of the butter, and virgin coconut oil which i thought i would hate but actually tastes so amazing that I've stopped adding sweetener. If it wasn't 270+ cal per mug I'd drink it all day. I'm not sure…

+1 for Caesar. And full fat mayonnaise. I love how my 'low-fat' colleagues squirm when they see me dolloping mayo all over my salad:drinker:

I was doing so well last week, it looked like I was going to have a nice 2lb loss for the week. Then the wheels came off at the weekend :-(. I had a McD's breakfast with the family (which I had planned because I had a swim race later in the day), an icecream for lunch, and rice with my evening meal. And then last night…

I use this: http://42.195km.net/e/swim/ Not sure how accurate it is, but I trust these numbers better than the MFP database

I've been back on Atkins for 1 week since my holiday, and I'm pleased to say I've lost all of the 6lbs I put on while I was away :drinker:. Only 3 more pounds until I reach my June goal of 163lbs  I'm really pleased with myself because despite being on a low carb plan all week, I managed to do my longest swim of the…

I feel your pain! I lost nothing in my second week of induction, but my weight did start to move in the right direction in week 3. I'm really pleased to see you're sticking with it. So many people have a great loss the first week then see nothing the second week and give up because they've lost no more. You will start to…

How long have you been on Atkins? Lots of people report a good loss in the first week then nothing for a week or two, but the weight will start to come off again if you stick with it

So far so good! 2 days back on the diet and exercise = 2 of the holiday pounds gone. If only weight loss was this easy all the time!

Hi :-) I've worked my way through to Stage 5 earlier this year, but it's been a couple of months since I last lifted so I've taken myself back to the start. I can't believe how much stronger I am compared to the last time I started Stage 1 (last September). I'm looking forward to some amazing results this time ;-)

I'm just back from my holidays carrying an extra 6 pounds :grumble: . May went so well for me, but holidays with my kids involve a strict ban on all diets  . I'm hoping the 6lbs comes off easily, so I'm targetting 163lbs again this month, which will mean a very optimistic loss of 9lbs. First things first, I need to…

I've dropped 4 pounds so far in May, so I'm not likely to get the 7lbs I was hoping for in the month, but it's a nice steady drop. Good luck with the fat fast. I still haven't done one yet, although I have been embracing the high fat side of the diet more this week, and it seems to be having the desired effect :-)
-
It is humanly possible. It takes some planning though, and you have to really get over the 'fat is bad' mentality that we have all been force-fed in conventional diets. Fats will provide you with the energy you need, proteins will fill you up. I am far from a model dieter, but please feel free to take a look in my diary…

I've started having almond milk. I like it in tea, but I need loads in coffee to get the same effect as a small amount of cow's milk. I'm still saving plenty of carbs by having the large amount of almond milk, but it's costing me a fortune in almond milk! I've avoided soy milk because it always seems to separate when I try…

I was really craving potatoes last night. My husband makes the best mashed potato in the whole world, and I could quite happily sit and eat bowlfuls of lovely, buttery mash! But I'm so glad I didn't eat them, because when I weighed in this morning I was a pound lighter than yesterday ;-)
-
That sounds like a huge amount of protein, but may I just point out: You've lost TWENTY pounds in 2 weeks. That is an insane amount! :drinker: Your body could NEVER sustain that rate of loss for any long period of time. 4 days with no loss is not a stall, or even a mini stall, you just get days (or weeks) when you don't…

2 pounds lost so far in May :-). I've got 5 more to go, but this week is going to be my worst week of the month for business travel / hotel food. I'm also not going to be able to get to do much in the way of exercise this week, so my weigh-in this weekend will be depressing. I may try a fat fast for 4 or 5 days starting on…

I wanted to lose 14 lbs in April. I actually lost 5! lol! I'll go for a bit more realistic this time  We're going on a family holiday on 31st May, and I've promised my kids I'll ease off the diet a bit while we're away, so I want to get to my first goal of 163lbs before we go. That means 7 pounds in 4 weeks!…

:grumble: I said I wanted to get down to 161lbs by the end of April. Maybe I should have factored-in Easter and all of the family birthday parties! I'm down to 170, so still making progress, but right now it's slow progress! Fingers crossed for an extra pound or so in the next 3 days!
-
I'm still in induction, 13 days in and 8 pounds down :-). In April I'd like to lose 14 pounds altogether, so I'd like to be down to 161 by the 1st May. My weight loss is already slowing down, so it may be a bit of a tough goal!

I'm starting Stage 5 tonight :-). I had a bit of a blip towards the end of Stage 4 and had to take nearly 2 weeks off (down to a few family issues) but I'm back now :-). Not looking forward to having to do the body-weight matrix again though!

Hello! I did 3B on Wednesday. I didn't enjoy it as much as A, I'm not keen on all the core stuff. The YTWL was more challenging than I expected, I don't think I'll be increasing the weights on that any time soon.
-
I started on Sunday night, I'm doing my first round of Workout B tonight. I actually loved workout A  apart from I still can't do a 90s plank! B looks confusing but I'm sure I'll get it eventually.

That's what I wanted to hear!!! I'm amazed how excited I am to be starting my next stage

Hi All, I'm due to finish stage 2 this week, and wondering how much gap to leave before I go in to stage 3? Stage 2 has gone so much quicker than stage 1 did, and I had to take an enforced rest after stage 1 when I pulled my shoulder out doing the 'special' AMRAP workouts at the end (Muppet!). So I'm not sure how much rest…

I had the most shocking cramp last night, after a hard (for me  ) swim set, when I allowed myself to get cold waiting for everyone else to finish. Generally I am able to swim through cramps if I get them in open water, but this was in the pool and it wrecked! I had to climb out and sit on the side for 5 minutes…

I use mostly just the stuff you have, I also have a squat rack which wasn't essential until my squat weight increased recently. I've got to the end of stage 1 just using modifications where I needed to. I've just picked up a cheap step which I'll use for some of the stage 2 work, but stage 1 is quite long so you won't need…

Hi, I'm Lou. I'm 34, 5'1" and currently 165lbs. I've been smaller, and I've been a LOT bigger, but my body always seems to find a way back to this weight. I'm big on my cardio (run, swim or bike almost daily), which I know doesn't fit too well with heavy lifting, but it gives me a daily stress outlet, and allows me to eat…

I was just thinking yesterday that I need something like this to kick-start my weight loss (again!). Count me in. I'm not tall (only 5'1"), but I like to think I'm quite active. I love biking and swimming, and I have an on/off relationship with running ;-). Feel free to add me :-)
