  • Hot Chocolate? I love the Bourneville Highlights drink. It's really chocolatey but only 40cals per cup. When I'm drinking that, everyone in the office craves chocolate ;-)
  • I do most of my running early in the morning. I always have a coffee before I go out, but rarely anything to eat for runs of 60-90 mins. When I used to do longer runs I would have something light, maybe a low fat yoghurt or a slice of toast. I did experiment with porridge before runs, but it has to have plenty of milk…
  • My kids are both quite conscious of what they put in their mouths - to the point where I have to tell them that it's ok to have the odd bar of chocolate or can of pop. They check the calorie value of their snacks because it's good to realise that some foods are not as healthy as they seem, but we do not count their…
  • Try loosening your shoelaces at the top of your foot. I get this too when I'm running or on the elliptical trainer.
  • I just found this thread. I'm on my second week now of 5/2 'fasting'. Yesterday was my second day of this week, and I have to admit that I cheated a little. Wednesday night is my long swim session, and Thursday is my run to work day, so I allowed myself a litre of orange juice after the run (orange juice is my favourite…
  • I'm a 34DD and have been running since I was a 38E. A really good sports bra is essential (I use Shock Absorber's highest level), but I've never had any problems with my back when running.
  • I don't have any feedback yet because I've only just started, but I've just started my second week of 5:2 fasting (2 days fasting per week), I cut down to 500 calories per day on my 2 fast days, and try to net 1900 calories on my non-fast days (1900 is the level that MFP set to maintain my current weight). I'd love to hear…
  • At 5"2, the mid-range for my ideal weight according to the charts is 120lbs ish. When I was 16 I was 125lbs, I've never gone that low again in nearly 20 years. About 5-6 years ago I lost a fair amount of weight, going down from 200lbs to 139lbs. I wasn't skinny, but I looked scrawny - there were bones sticking out where…
  • I'm in. I lent my Shred DVD to my sister while she was over. If I can find it before Sunday I'll use that, but otherwise I'll do Ripped in 30 instead. I've lost count of the number of times I've started this, I can never get beyond 10 days on my own :embarassed:
  • Getting close :-). I missed a couple of commute days last week thanks to a couple of days off work, but I made up for it with a nice couple of hours in the early morning sunshine yesterday :-) Target 200 Mar-13 14.5 Mar-14 14.99 Mar-15 8.18 +6.48 Mar-18 36.83 Total 189.13

  • Oops! I've not been in and updated yet. I pulled my achilles tendon a couple of weeks ago so I've not been cycling a great deal. I don't think I'm going to make my target this month. Target 175 miles 2-Feb 13.83 3-Feb 15.15 4-Feb 5.31 Total 34.29 I'll update again later after I've cycled home.
  • Congrats to everyone!!! I've been getting really disheartened, because I've just not been losing weight. But I've never been one for measuring myself, so it's been a real boost to see the inches that have come off my waist  I find it so much easier to stick to a plan when I can see the results. Right, I'm feeling…
  • Hi all. I've had a virus most of the week, so not been able to do a great deal of exercise. My calories have been below target every day, but I've not been so good at tracking my water consumption, and I've missed most of the daily challenges. Probably not suprisingly, my weight's not changed much this week My week 1 check…
  • Sun, Swim and Gym from Boots. I was going to post a link, but their website seems to be blocked on my work computer. I wear a hat when I swim, but it doesn't do much to keep my hair dry. Maybe my head's a funny shape

  • Thursday 2nd Challenge DONE :-) plus 20 burpees. Under calories (despite a trip to KFC:embarassed: ), and all 64oz water drunk. No rest for me today, because I've got to catch up on the Wednesday challenge
  • I missed the daily challenge yesterday, so I'll add on to Friday instead. I did manage to stay under on my calories, but my water was only 48oz.

  • I'll give it a try. I need all the encouragement I can get to get into my bridesmaid's dress in April :-)
  • Can I join in? I only managed 98 miles in January. I'll aim for 175 in February :-) I really need to start riding to and from work again
