  • I consume about 1400 calories a day, that is what works for me. There are times my intake goes up to 1600, if my calorie burn for the day is high and I feel hungry. :)
  • In my opinion, you are gonna get your best results with a mixture of strength training and cardio. Brazil Butt Lift is a great program, as is Turbo Fire! With proper diet and following the workouts, you will see results. Have you tried googling a routine for the bowflex? I can talk to you all day about the home video…
  • If you are exercising, you definitely need more food! Eat more to lose more! :) BMR is a great way to find out how much you should be eating. Also, I've used the old standby of your body weight x 10 to get your calorie intake. However, at my activity level I generally can't go below 1400 calories a day.... even when my…
  • Thank you!!!! Alissa www.AlissaAngelo.com
  • Samantha - Depends on what you already have! You can use resistance bands if you don't have weights... but you will probably need a few different ones with different amounts of resistance. I have several sets of weights (5 lbs to 25 lbs)... never went higher than 15lbs with P90X though. With ChaLEAN Extreme I went much…
  • THANKS again! It's so nice to hear that my tummy looks flat.... I've had 2 c-sections in 4 years, so to have a flatter tummy is always a good thing!!! :)
  • Thank you everyone!!!! Alissa
  • I did 4 weeks of the Core phase, then a recovery week because my body revolted and told me it needed it. I just finished my first week of strength and am loving it so far. Definitely many of the moves I would NEVER have been able to do a month ago. Keep at it, great job! Alissa www.alissaangelo.com
  • Thank you! It's hard work but you can get there ... it just takes time. I still have a layer of fat around there, just not as visible. Feel free to friend me if you guys want any support. Alissa www.alissangelo.com
  • Thank you everyone!!! P90X2 is most definitely focused on core... my core was really weak prior thanks to two pregnancies in the past 4-1/2 years. I have never been good about working my core, but with P90X2 the core work is right in with the workout daily and my strength has really improved. I'm so happy I decided to take…
  • I'm not currently doing Insanity, but P90X2! Insanity workouts are tough.... but awesome! Alissa www.alissaangelo.com
  • Hey there, I did three rounds of P90X last year. The weight ranges you are using sound right around where I was at with my weights. As long as you are feeling the burn during the last 3 reps, you are good to go! Alissa http://www.alissaangelo.com
  • Thanks for chiming in fellow Coaches! :)
  • You will find that you are needing heavier weight... you will need at least 10 lb weights for your lower body exercises. It will be surprising how strong you are. As you reach the second phase, PUSH, it's very likely you will need even heavier weights. I use all the way up to 25 lb weights when I'm doing ChaLEAN Extreme.…
  • Most definitely do at least a couple rounds of P90X before P90X2. I did 3 rounds of it last year and started P90X2 a month ago. I love it but there is no way I could have done it a year ago when I started P90X. Good luck to you! Alissa www.AlissaAngelo.com
  • Yah, what the PP said is pretty accurate and similar to what I burn with strength and cardio. I'm doing P90X2, did an hour of Chest + Back + Balance and burned 259 calories and I weigh 130 lbs. It's mostly an upper body workout, so my calorie burn was probably a little lower than if it had incorporated more upper and lower…
  • Hmmm... have you lost weight? As you lose weight, you have to work harder to burn the same amount of calories that you previously were. I know when I was heavier, I would always burn more calories and as I lost weight that number went down. Hope that helps! Alissa www.alissaangelo.com
  • I am running a Challenge Group on Facebook, and have a group member who is doing ChaLEAN Extreme which uses heavy weights. She wasn't seeing the scale move and felt like she was getting bigger. I ran across this article by Chalene Johnson... it's great. :)…
  • Unfortunately, it's really hard to estimate. I wear a Polar Heart Rate Monitor and depending on how high impact our class is, I can burn anywhere from 250 to 350. Sorry, I'm not much more help!
  • Yes, seriously .... anybody can sign up to be a Coach. Many do that to get the discount on Shakeology and the workout systems. There is a $40 activation fee and a $14.95 per month charge for your websites. They provide us with 3 websites for our business. Whether you decide to work your business or not is up to you.…
  • tbloor - You are right, it is definitely more focused on strength training. I have done several rounds of P90X, and am just starting the second phase of P90X2 and I have gotten SO much stronger! Love it!!!
  • I haven't but have heard LOTS of good things about it! I'm really interested in trying it. I guess it's really similar to what the "real life" classes are like. :) I'm a Beachbody Coach, so we had a webinar introducing the product and it's sounds really awesome with great instructors. • The FIRM workouts were my first home video workouts, they are great.... I was actually in an infomercial for them in 2007. They helped me lose 35 lbs the first time around. The second and third times, I lost baby weight with several different programs. :) As time has went on, I still enjoy them from time to time but have…
  • I haven't personally used it. However, Tony Horton is top notch and a great trainer. I would say if you are going to go with this system, you will probably want to do more than just one 10 minute dvd a day. That's just my opinion though. If you have time, I'd try to do at least 2 or 3. I'm a Beachbody Coach, and if you…
  • In my opinion, if the others are just cardio videos you aren't interested in and you are getting your cardio elsewhere.... I wouldn't stress about getting them in. It's the toning workouts that are going to help sculpt your booty and if you are getting your others stuff in addition, skipping the dancy cardio workouts…
  • Everyone above is right, it's a great workout and packs a punch in a short amount of time! :o) Alissa www.alissaangelo.com
  • I've heard it's absolutely fantastic! Can't wait to hear what you think! :)
  • Based on what you said, I think you'd like P90X or Insanity. The difference is do you want to have equipment or just use your body weight. If you want to use equipment, P90X all the way. If not, Insanity is your best bet. Also, P90X is a 90 day program and Insanity is a 60 day program. If you want more info, feel free to…
  • Lisa, It really depends on the Coach. Yes, anybody can sign up to be a Coach. Some do it solely for the discount, while others do it to genuinely help people... whether they are at their goal or not. I have been a Coach for a couple months now and am doing it to help people. I want to pay it forward with the knowledge I've…
