I just started hitting the heavy bag in the last couple of weeks and was shocked at how much cardio vs. strength training it offers...not to mention stress relief :) Another great cardio option is rowing. It gets your heart rate up and works everything in your body with minimal stress on knees/hips. I have issues with…

Great Goals Keki! Sleep plays a HUGE part! My goals this week are : 1. Do not strangle anyone...lol ...only half kidding 2. Workout Monday, Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday...I'd like to try to pick up another evening to make up for my Tuesday yoga class I won't make tomorrow. 3. Drink my water everyday 4. Attempt some jumping…

196 again this week...which might be a miracle because I haven't been logging my food much. My goals were: **Make better food choices....well I didn't binge or fill up on empty cals BUT I had several "family dinners" and lost track of everything...only one night did I eat past my full stage. ** Keep up momentum at the gym…

I got all of my water in today but wasn't anywhere I could do planks....I want to squeeze some in before bed but because I made HORRIBLE food choices lol I don't know how much I trust my gut at the moment :ohwell:

Haha the mean ol' plank eh? I was showing my gym buddy yesterday and let's just say that 1st one is the easiest LOL. But I accept your challenge :) My goals this week are : ** Drink WATER ...I can't seem to stay consistant with this it's either lots or not enough ** make better food choices ** keep up my momentum at the…

I have a friend who LOVES Turbo Jam...I've got it here to try out but haven't managed to get it in the DVD player yet. Looks like fun though :)

I think it's different for everyone but I compare it to a car. If you are driving your normal route to and from work you use a set amount of gas....but if you want to take a road trip you add more gas to the tank. When your calories are allotted they are already set up to give enough "gas" to do your regular day of life…

I'm in!

lol yep! I notice in the mornings when I go to get dressed that I never seem to have time for jeans anymore. I'm a stay at home mom so I can get away with yoga pants or sweats most days. Gym Sat/Sun/Mon then Yoga Tues/Wed and swimming on Thurs ...Looks like Fridays are Jean Day's even for the unemployed lol

If you are looking to ease back in and start building strength try a yoga class. I had 2 c-sections and a bad hip that left me with zero core and little mobility. I have been doing beginners yoga 1-2 times a week since last May and have never felt better. It didn't even feel like work and the next thing a knew I was…

I also love to bake :) But since finding out my hubby is diabetic ...and accepting that in the 10yrs we've been together I put on 40+lbs, I don't get to do it so often anymore. SO I bake for others. I do custom cake orders (out of my home). I am currently working on 2 orders this weekend and do not feel the slightest urge…

love this :) I used to participate in a "Thankful Thursday" thread and then just sort of fell out of habit 1. Had a fantastic workout this a.m 2. Went on a movie date with a friend I hadn't seen in ages 3. Enjoyed a DQ sundae after the movie and caught up

meal timing is incredibly relevant to your metabolism. I am proof of that. If I waited to eat when I feel like it (as I have for years) then I only eat from 4pm-8pm in a day. In these few hours I can consume for daily calories...but my body is in starvation mode for the other 20hrs a day! I have been working hard at the…

i have the same issue. I am trying to be much more conscience about it though. I have been boiling a few eggs and putting them in the fridge peeled. If I know I'm going to be rushed I throw a slice of bread in the toaster & grab one of the eggs and go. They're also great for the late afternoon when I'm usually tempted to…

I'm in NB Canada and anyone I have talked with here has said the Dr's insisted the lose weight before surgery. I have been curious for quite some time about a reduction. I have suffered from migraines since my midteens caused by stress/tension in my neck & shoulders. I can't help but think that life would be so much more…

I'll be 29 in a couple weeks and am new to MFP as well. I hope to lose atleast 30lbs or more and am always looking for fresh ideas :)

I have walked, worked out or gone to yoga 11 of 17 days in January :) ..I'm actually pretty impressed with myself

I leave my diary open to hold myself accountable lol. This being my first week I am just being absolutely honest with everything I put in my mouth and eat just as I normally would (well I did for the first couple of days). I wanted an honest & true starting point. I needed to see just how "bad" my habits were for me before…

:blushing: Have you tried a yoga class? I have had issues with my legs/hips/back so when I first started out a lot of gym equipment hurt more then helped. I started going to a beginners yoga class once a week and built a ton of strength in all areas. Although my weight hasn't seemed to budge I have dropped a size & a half…

I'm in the same boat. I feed my girls balanced healthy meals/snacks and we eat as a family every evening but once they're tucked in the junk food flys :( I have been going to the gym since last June and am slowly but surely seeing results so I am ready to take the next step and be accountable for what I am eating. I have…

with my first I had all of these same signs and took 6 or more pregnancy tests over a course of 3mths (Nov, Dec, Jan) all negative...It wasn't until I had my blood tested in January that I found out for sure I was indeed pregnant. Talk with your doctor though.

I am new as well. Turning 29 in a few weeks and hoping to lose enough weight to have a breast reduction by my 30th birthday. Add me if you wish :blushing:

I would say 250ml is = to a '"cup" aswell. I have a 710ml sports bottle I try to fill 4x daily
