  • I am from just outside of Edmonton.... I travel there relatively regularly! Nice to see that others are close!
  • my guess ould be that yu do not meet all the criteria for Bulimia which are: 1. recurrent episodes of binge eating (which means either a) eating within a 2 hour period an amount of food that is larger than most people would eat during a similar time period or under similar cicumstances OR b) a sense of lack of control over…
  • actually you are partially wrong there.... You can not be obese and be anorexic, HOWEVER it is rather typical for people with bulimia to be overweight.
  • try to find other milestones to monitor. I too have hypothyrioidism... In some ways I HATE this site, because I watch sooo many people lose so much weight, and I lose so slowly. I know that is selfish, but it is hard to take sometimes. I have found that if I can maintain a focus on the OTHER benefits (like better sleep,…

  • Space Coconaut said" @ladyhawk: I am injected with Risperdal Consta twice a month." [/quote] You also mentioned that you think that your medication is messing with you... but can't get off it.... Risperdal Consta WILL make it difficult for you to lose weight, and will "HELP" you keep it on... especially in your midsection.…
  • for the record, I disagree with the challenge. I am not targeting anyone personally with that statement. I just think that it does not resonate with the values of MFP. Which is healthy lifestyles and healthy eating. It sounds like you are both strong willed people with competitive nature. I would hate to someone get harmed…
  • if there is a way, to keep sugar under 35 with milk and fruit, I haven't found it. I personally do not, count milk sugar or fruit sugar (on some days my sugar can get pretty high from those sources) :(. I have seen several studies that have shown that women who are milk drinkers actually weigh less than other women. All…
  • In MY experience you will have to continue on the 1200 calorie path for longer than a part of a week.... to see a difference. You might actually go UP slightly initially and start to lose again. I would say maybe a month...
  • could it be anemia? When your iron is low enough that it is not transporting adequate amounts of oxygen to the brain.....it can easily happen if you aren't eating enough red meat or have a heavy period.
  • bump... I am interested to see what people come up with.... I have been tempted to buy Quinoa, but have no idea what to do with it!
  • Wha section do you find this in at Costco??? I have found Liberte Greek yougurt at Costco in the yogurt refrigerator section.... I have been looking for some other options! I have found some PC brand with fruit in the bottom at extra foods...,. Thats it! I hear about Chobani on here all the time, and have NEVER been able…
  • count your lucky stars girl! I eat well and exercise regularly (30 day shred 3 X per week and walk/ run 2X ) not including the exercise I get running after my kidlets!. I am on 1300 cals per day, and am usually under that. I am 9.8 lbs down in 15 weeks! It is super frustrating, and it is really hard to watch others…
  • bump! sounds yum
  • I have recently started having hot water with fresh squeezed lemon in it. With a bit of honey. It has helped tremendously getting my water down! Love it! it has also reduced my java consumption dramatically! I think I liked the hot beverage more than the actual coffee! I also love lemon slices laid on salmon before it is…

  • I picked the largest whole number in the normal range of the BMI -145. Not that I totally agree with the BMI, but it gives me a starting point. Once I get closer, I will have a better idea about what "feels" right to maintain.
  • I don't know if you meant it this to sound disinviting, but that is that take I got from it...(please keep reading as I don't intend to be hard on you). Sure MFP has a system and it has worked for many! I love how it is set up (though I made my own customized changes in the nutrition section - so I guess I don't agree with…
  • I am with you all! Feel free to add me! It can be discouraging at times, but so worth the process!
  • oh yeah, cans of tuna (in water) are also a great choice! I take apples and bananas with me almost everywhere!
  • I keep mini greek yogurt containers (with fruit on the bottom) in the fridge at work. 140 calories and FILLING. I also keep oatmeal packets (not instant) in my filing cabinet. Then every day I bring a variety of lunches (wraps, fruit, smoothies, left over supper, salads, raw veggies, hard boiled eggs, sandwiches on…
  • I do, and would be happy to see others diarys. Ideas are refreashing.
  • wow your food diary looks really good!!! Maybe add sodium to the macronutrients that show, and see what that looks like. It looks like your protein is generally pretty good. Your sugars are high regularly, but it looks like they are from natually occurring sugars for the most part (fruits, milk). so I wouldn't be one to…
  • I disagree. I think calories are different and so are people!
  • I think a "just below the chin" bob would be super cute on you! Sorry, I know that wasn't one of the choices. That is just what I envision. with a wispy bang, maybe even jagged/ piecy bob would be cute.
  • @ xona - I realy like the zifg zag idea. maybe I will try that next month, once I figure out if this change was a good one! ha ha ha! thanks for the advice and it is also good to know that some one is in the same boat! (not that I wish gains upon you!) It is nice to know some one gets it. You KNOW in your head that the…
  • a couple of things also to consider. BMR + the activity level you suggested you use is your daily expenditure. minus your daily intake is your daily deficit. I think that MFP will not creat a deficit greater than 500 cal per day. So it will automatically reduce your lbs per week loss to accommadate the difference. 1 lb =…
  • I will give my body some time to adjust, and stay at 1300 for awhile.... thanks for the advice. I am not yet sure that is the best caloric intake though. I guess only time will tell. At 1300 it only allows for .9lbs loss per week. (Which hasn't ever been the case for me on MFP - as I said before I average about 2 lbs per…
  • thank sooo much for the specifics! I really appreciate that! I was set at 40/30/30. So carbs the same as you. I just adjusted, we will see. I haven't heard that info on going too low on carbs before, so I appreciate that info too! I have never been even intrigued by the ATKINS diet. It didn't make sense to me to cut out an…
  • thanks hp snickers. There is lots of info in there that makes sense. and I will definatly have a close look at those websites. Intuitively I know I should wait longer than a week, and it is nice to hear you say a month, but it is also hard to watch the scale increase. I have learned alot about my dietary requirements since…
