  • My most "go to" is Peanut butter on a rice cake. Eat it with whatever fruit/veg I have (typically berries, carrots, or right now lots of cherries) and a string cheese.
  • A girl was watching a movie on her cell phone as she did floor work. Every new exercise took longer and was done halfway because she needed to set her phone somewhere that she could see it. I get music, or TV on the treadmill, but to spend more time putting your cell phone in watchable position than you actually did…
  • Molly, an 11 year old border terrier/boxer mix. And Zeus a 2 1/2 year old pitbull/great dane. Both are rescues and we love them so much!
  • Congratulations on your success!! So incredibly inspiring! Thank you for sharing.
  • In addition to tracking in MFP I wear a bodybugg all day long and track my food there too. When it comes to the calories burned in MFP I only log the exercises that were a true "workout" and I log the time accurately and override the calories with what my bodybugg says. And those numbers are normally 50 - 60% of what MFP…
  • 125 has always been mythical to me... My lowest adult weight is today at 158... I'm 5'6 and what I think is a pretty sturdy build. Currently I'm wearing a size 10 but on the verge of an 8. The goal I am shooting for is 142-148. I started shooting for 148 but as I did more research into body fat% etc I think 142 might be a…
  • Every Friday is donut day at my work. I used to hate it. Now I plan for it and allow myself 1 Old Fashioned Glazed. I skip breakfast at home, get my Starbucks coffee on my way in and bring a piece of fruit. All planned and accounted for so no stress just enjoyment.
  • I'm 30, 5'6" and currently 162#. According to my bathroom scale I am at 35%. In January I started MFP at 184# and 41%.
  • I don't like it either. The idea of having some kind of "You did well today" when I finish my log is nice, but the way this is presented does easily give the impression that fewer calories is better. Also don't like the phrase "under her calorie goal" in my feed. Again it feels like the computer is trying to tell me that I…
  • Yes I do. I don't think of them as cheat days though. I'm more of the mindset that I can eat whatever I want, good or bad, on any day and its up to me to work harder to burn it off and find the balance. For me I'm afraid that if I said no all week and then one day said yes to all of the cravings it would start me down a…
  • PB&J sandwich and strawberries
  • I have. I've lost 17 pounds since the new year with all cardio. I use a BodyBugg and follow their calorie intake recommendation of 1450 calories a day, with a target total daily burn of 2450. I have a desk job and the only way I can meet that calorie burn is with major cardio. I actually use the Precor AMT…
  • I started Jan 3... was 184.6 - today I weigh 168. Down 16.6 lbs or 9% which feels great. I haven't seen as much of a change in clothing as I had expected at this point... went from about 14 pants to 12 (a couple of my old 10's fit too, but only from certain stores). My belt though has moved in 3 notches. I'm thinking I was…
  • I've got a serious need to peak at your machine. You don't know it but we're in a competition... I might give you a once over and then try to figure out if I "should" be able to burn more than you or not... then I try. Judgy I know but I think of it as some motivation. In general I'm a multi-tasker while on the eliptical…
