  • I actually had people from my class joining me. We would egg each other on and encourage each other. It's hard when you are in school because you are sitting sitting sitting. I also found studying hard without some snacks.....good luck.

  • when I was in nursing school I had to really sneak in my exercise so I learned a few tricks. I would do butt crunches while brushing my teeth and do lunges while I was walking around the house. I also found some stairs that were close to my classroom and would run up and down them on my breaks. If you are creative you can…

  • I just ordered my copy on Saturday from Amazon. It was $8.50. How much is it at the stores?? I can't wait to get it and get started.
  • I feel like I'm getting back on track...been drinking my water and went to Doc Greens for lunch. Had veggie wrap and fruit. Feel better already. Now I just need to exercise. How are all the other weekend bingers doing today??
  • Our bodies are definately telling us what we should be eating (and not eating) it's just hard to listen. My big screw up was alcohol. I had 3 beers and a martini on Saturday night and 3 beers and 2 glasses of wine yesterday. I'm truly not a big drinker...it was just a very social weekend. I even ate pizza TWICE!!! and I…
  • Glad I'm not in this boat by myself!! You know I don't even really feel well today...I feel so much better when I'm eating right but that darn food just tastes so good at the time it's hard to remember how yucky it's going to make me feel later. My hands are all swollen from all that salt........
  • Well I started out the weekend full of hope and strong resolve and ended up overeating by 450 calories on Saturday and over 600 on Sunday. I went to Abuelo's with a friend for lunch yesterday and who can resist chips and guacamole?? We ended up sitting there for 3 hours talking and drinking corona's. So bad!! I am so…
  • I'm not against sweeteners (I'm trying to wean my diet coke addiction) but can't tolerate Splenda. It makes my stomach feel like it's boiling and it rumbles so loud that it can be heard across the room. It also causes my to have very bad cramps. Nothing else I have ever eaten does this but I'm careful to steer clear of it.
  • Ok..after reading all the posts about the shred I just ordered my copy. I've been doing some of the programs on Fit TV and love working out to videos. Gives me something different. I'm a little nervous about doing it after reading some of your posts but am ready for a challenge!!
  • Good luck to you!! I'm a newbie also...just joined this week. I find that entering my meals before I actually eat them helps and also commits me to eating what I said I would. My biggest challenge is the exercise - today I had to drag myself to the treadmill and I watched every minute I was on there willing myself to do…
  • ...............and a pomegranat martini!!!
  • Yes. Granite City has a website with all the menu items but no nutritional info. I thought about just getting a small house salad and a cup of french onion soup.
  • Hey guys. Going out with the husband and friends tonight to Granite City and couldn't find any nutritional info for them on the web. Does anyone have any suggestions for what I should eat there?
  • Have you tried measuring yourself? It's very possible you are losing inches but not pounds. Don't get discouraged!! Just stay with the program and keep going. Quit weighing yourself for a couple of weeks. Have you had any extra salt? Are you drinking your water? Don't give up!!!
  • I have never been brave enough to attempt popcorn!! HAHA. It sure felt good to walk on by that refreshment counter and not give them all my money!!!
  • The movie was very good...lot of cute clothes for me to dream about being skinny enough to fit into. Had some great funny scenes and some romantic ones as well.
  • Yes and it was free......I was a little criminal sneaking it all in with my big purse!!! HAHA
  • Yea!! I took my daughter to see the new "Confessions of a Shopaholic" movie today and was kind of anxious about it...to me movies mean big tubs of popcorn and a gallon of diet coke and maybe some Milk Duds. I packed some grapes and carrots and got a small diet coke. No problem at all. (it did smell really good though).
  • Thanks for the encouragement. I love this site so far. I don't feel like I can talk to my family and friends about my diet stuff because they have been through it so many time before with me. I am a human YOYO!!!
  • Thanks. I'm impressed - you have already lost 25 pounds since December. That's awesome!!! What kinds of exercise are you doing?? Do you eat your exercise calories? I'm nervous to get above my 1200 a day. One more question - I'm having trouble eating the allowed protein - I'm always over my limit. Anyone else having issues…
  • Hi there. I just joined this site on Tuesday and am loving it so far. I need to lose 50 pounds and have already lost 5 this week - although I know that it's all just water at this point. I've been a yoyo dieter my whole life and am hoping I can make a change for life.
