It is hard at first to keep track but it pays off and after a short while you'll start memorizing your food's calories. Just stick with it and it will pay off.

I was at 277lbs and just diagnosed with Type II Diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure. I knew I was destined to get it as this all ran in my family, but I told myself that I don't believe in that non-sense and didn't want to be one of those people who have to take medication everyday. So I changed up my…

You have already failed by stating that you know you will fail. As others have already said, you cannot think negatively. I will share with you what I did different this time around: 1) I got an account on here, which…

Improve your diet with healthier foods. If you eat right, you will feel right which will then give you that little pep and motivation to go workout. However, if you eat like *kitten* then you'll feel like sh*it :-) Once you notice that first little bit of weight loss or reduction in body size, you'll be even more motivated…

Thank you everyone for the excellent advice. I never thought about hitting the thrift shops and it makes total sense to go this route!

You're absolutely right, Monica. I think that may be part of the reason...that subconsciously I think I may need these clothes again.
