Thanks for all the replies. I'm already learning a lot. I am insulin resistant (had gestational diabetes in pregnancy due to PCOS). I think I will give the cinnamon a go.

Cinnamon???? I've never heard about this but it sounds interesting. In relation to carbs I've been doing some research. Is it carbs I need to reduce or net carbs after fibre content is subtracted as there seems to be people in both camps on this?

I PCOS and am finding it really hard going losing weight especially in the tummy area. Feel free to add me. Im looking into eating low GI but Im not currently doing it.

I too have pcos. You need to avoid the bad carbs like white pasta and bread. Choose wholegrain versions but in moderation. Rice is not good for low gi. Sweet potatoes are a better substitute for potatoes and new potatoes are better than old kinds. The sooner they're picked the less carbs. A lot of fruit and veg are also…
