  • Why assume that it is a feeling of inadequacy that leads to the decision? I don't like the way my boobs look. It doesn't make me any less awesome. I just don't like looking at them or feel that they are a good fit for the rest of my body. No one else see's them, except my husband and he is fine with them. I can only change…

  • So true. And just because someone chooses augmentation doesn't mean they want "unnaturally' big boobies. Flat, deflated sagging boobs are not beautiful to me. I can exercise the rest of my body to improve the shape and size. Boobies are not cooperative! I am not interested in looking 25 again. I just want them to be where…
  • I purposely eat light during the day so I can enjoy a heavier dinner. I'm a southern gal married to a redneck steel worker. He likes a real "meat & potatoes" meal at night and I like to enjoy it with him, only with smaller portions. We also eat out a couple of times a week, so I need to save up my calories during the day.…

  • Cool, so now when someone posts that they've been watching every calorie and working out but they've gained 2 lbs, I can tell them that it's o.k. because they are building muscle - muscle weighs more than fat, and their bones are heavier now too.  Seriously, though - thanks for the info! You are always…
  • I think you're missing the forest for the trees. It's not really about the gym. She's feeling threatened and looking for a way to get back what she had. Whether she's threatened because she thinks you aren't paying enough attention to her, or if she is genuinely worried about your relationship is something you will only…
  • Bump I love brownies, so this is a must-try!
  • I've had my Body Media Fit Link for about a month. My weight loss was stalled and I couldn't seem to get it going again. Now I've lost 2 1/2 lbs in the past 3 weeks. Learning about how my body burns calories and seeing what I can do to improve my burn each day is awesome. I also love the fact that it tracks my sleep and I…
  • First, unless you are completely flat chested you will sag some as you age. I'm 50 and a B cup. Mine certainly aren't as perky as they once were. At my heaviest, i filled out a C cup very nicely. Now I don't fill out anything. I have an unusual body shape, very wide shoulders and wide through my ribs. I look overweight in…
  • I remember recording Mousercise on VHS for my daughters. They watched me work out and wanted to do it too.
  • I've been around this size most of my life, but not always. I was up about 40 pounds several years ago. I have learned that if I don't work out, I will gain weight. I have to accept the truth of the fact that exercise will always be a part of my life. I have also learned that if I want to get to my goal weight, counting…
  • To be the person I want to see when I look in the mirror.
  • The first one I did on a regular basis was a morning TV show - Morning Stretch with Joanie Gregans. It was 30 minutes and I did it every day after I got my husband off to work and before the kids woke up. Yep, I even had the shiny leotard, terry cloth headband and leg warmers. My all time early favorite was Callanetics by…
  • I'm 50. I know that makes me older, and boy do I feel it when I'm trying to keep up with Jillian.
  • Slightly pitiful work out, but I did it. Day one of Week 3. I forgot how hard this week is on my ankles. I never thought of my ankles as weak, but this week kills them. Actually, a lot of Jillian's moves kill my ankles. That's ok, because the results I get in the rest of me make it soooo worth it. Tomorrow will be better!
  • Awesome results! You are making major changes in your body. I love Jillian's work outs. I also think I see a Body Media armband in your after pics. I love my Body Media, too! Keep up the good work and keep posing the pictures.
  • I'm restarting tomorrow too. I got through the first two weeks and had to stop - twice, once due to an injury (not related to the dvd, lol) and this last time due to bronchitis. I know I should start again on week 1, but I'm going to start on Week 3. I'm afraid that I won't make it past Week 2 again. Maybe I'll do Week 3…
  • Everyone has a "type" that they like and are attracted too. If you are their type now, but you weren't before, it doesn't necessarily mean they are shallow.
  • I've been told I have amazing legs and my shoulders are pretty awesome, too.
  • Great job! I can see a lot more definition and you are smaller! Excellent results.
  • I don't recommend the wrist watch type. The one I had is such a pain, you have to push buttons on it in order for it to read your heart rate, which is kind of hard to do when you are in the middle of a workout or walking on a treadmill. The chest strap ones are supposed to be the best. I use a BodyMedia armband. It doesn't…
  • Badge of Honor? I don't think so. Droopy boobs are no badge of honor in my book. I am having an augmentation because I want one. I want bigger, perkier breasts. I want to feel good about my body. I want to like what I see. To say we are falling victim to what society says we are "supposed" to look like is a disservice. Did…

  • Not always true If grandma has the legs, then she should go for it. And yes, I am a 50 year old Grandma of 6. I'll wear my short skirts as long as my legs will allow. And the 4 inch heels.
  • Try New York & Company. They have great jeans in different cuts to flatter most anyone. Plus their sizing is crazy, I can always buy a size smaller there than anywhere else, lol.
  • Log it first, then decide. What does it do for your calories? Sodium? Is it really that good? Sometimes the answer is absolutely yes. Sometimes not. Either way, if you log it and see it, you are in control. That is what this journey is all about, learning to live in control of our choices. Sometimes I decide I really do…

  • This. Everyone is different, and it takes what ever works for you. Mine is private. I'm a boring, very picky eater. Sometimes I drink. I log it all, but I don't need anyone lecturing me (which did happen when it was public and I was here before) I log for myself, to keep track of what I am doing and how it's working. I…
  • This! Again! You can do it, but only if you believe you can and you take the steps. It's not always easy, but I honestly believe that if you are motivated and you get educated you will succeed. Log everything you eat and drink. I try to log before I eat, it helps me decide if I really want it. Check out the success stories…
  • How sweet! It does help to have the support of a wonderful spouse. I think you are a gem for recognizing her!
  • I make my husband a smoothie every morning. The "best" combo I've come up with so far - according to him: 1 cup Lowfat or Almond Milk 1 cup frozen fruit - strawberry/banana, peaches, mixed berries, etc 1/2 cup vanilla Greek yogurt 1T agave nectar The frozen fruit makes things quicker for me and adds the icy slushiness he…
  • Two things helped me decide. 1. I was at 115 lbs a few years ago. I looked and felt pretty darn good. 2. I used this link and it confirmed my original goal. http://www.cordianet.com/calculator.htm
