I lost 30 pounds right after my divorce, it was awesome. I kept it off until my new wife got pregnant with our first and then I just got lazy and gained it all, plus some, back. Now I need to get that off!

I've used my FitBit Flex in the pool each of the last two weekends with no issues

I have the Flex, I like it for the most part, but it being on my wrist can sometimes miss out on a lot of steps I'm taking. Like if I'm walking and texting or walking and pushing a grocery cart, I'm not getting credit for those steps. I find that I just end up putting it in to my pocket to get the steps counted.

I definitely eat what I want, I just count calories. Yes, I should look at other metrics too but I know damn well I'm never going to stick to that so I just keep the calorie count down.

I try to plan as much as possible, I do a lot better when I'm fully planned for the day.

This is my opinion as well. If I were to add something to water (rarely if ever as I love water) then I just log whatever calories from that additive are included and don't count that towards my water goal
