I don't log every day cleaning, but if I'm moving furniture around to clean the carpets, scrubbing baseboards and walls, or anything else to really work up a sweat, yes I log that. I usually only log half the time and calories that my HRM read for that though.

Using smaller plates helps, because you see the plate is empty and your mind says you are full. But your best bet is to go for the food scale.

Robert E Lee and Meriwether Lewis (Lewis and Clark). I actually have in my possession the publish book with the family history from as far back as they can go up until my now 24 year old cousin in it. And since I'm 5 years older than her, I'm in the book too. It's pretty cool, and Lee is a family name that is passed…

I pre-log to a point. I plan my meals for the most part, and then just log snacks as I go. I just adjust anything as needed throughout the day.
-
I'm gonna give this a try. Now if I can just keep people off the stairs long enough for me to get this done.
-
I weigh everything. I got a digital food scale off ebay for $10, and it was worth every penny.

Out of sight out of mind works for me. If I can't see it, I don't feel the need to step on it every time I walk in the bathroom.

This morning was 1/4 cup of Kroger Nutty Nuggets (Grape Nuts), mixed with 56 grams of fresh strawberries, and a container of Kroger Carbmaster Strawberry Yogurt. Only 188 calories, but full of protein and very yummy. I try to switch it up, scrambled eggs, breakfast sandwiches, cereal, fruit, smoothies....just depends on my…

That's wonderful! Keep it up!

I have a digital kitchen scale, and I use it for everything!

Well, they actually are scar tissue, so the color can fade (if you're like me and they are purple), but the will never actually go away. I'm learning to love mine, because they show how I carried my babies.
-
That's wonderful. I increased to a 40DD with the last pregnancy, and I can't wait to fit in my cute 36D I was in before again.

I hadn't really thought about it, but I guess I am kind of superstitious. I always lift my feet when I cross state lines, I always make an x with my right hand whenever a black cat crosses my path, and other silly things. I don't know if it matters. And I love Friday the 13th, except when I'm working 3rd shift at the…

I love it! I hate that mine is sitting in storage right now. I cook all kinds of things on it....pork chops, hamburgers, steaks, chicken, etc. I love how it doesn't cook everything in it's own grease, and my food tastes like food and not all greasy.

That's why I do my best to log everything, good or bad. Now I don't always remember to close my diary before midnight, but it's not a way of lying to myself or anything though.
-
It's a new day. Don't stress about yesterday, and be glad you had a good time. And just jump right back on the wagon today.

I love Richard Simmons work outs. I have several of his VHS and DVD's. They are so much fun, and they have regular people doing them, so I don't feel so stupid trying to keep up like I do with the fitness models that do most workout videos.
-
First off, congrats on the weight loss so far. A digital food scale is the best thing I've ever invested in.
-
Until I had my HRM, I logged my Richard Simmons workouts as aerobics general. I've found that that was underestimating a little bit on my burn, which I didn't find to be a bad thing either. Now I have a more accurate account for my calories burned since I bought my HRM.

Oh god yes. I'm having a problem with my next door neighbor, who is obviously much bigger than I was before I started losing weight, and by the way her clothes are fitting, she's gained even more since I started losing. She called me a fat, dirty, wh**e. I didn't let it bother me, just motivates me even more to lose the…

I'm averaging 1.3 pounds per week lost. I have lost as much as 2 pounds in a week or as little as .2 pounds in a week. I'm not in any hurry to get it off, as I want to be able to keep it off once it's gone. I've been going a little over 16 weeks now, and I'm down 20.8 pounds, and I feel great.

That's wonderful! I reached the point during my last pregnancy where I could no longer reach my feet (and I didn't get to that point at all during my first pregnancy), and my feet were so swollen that I could only wear flip flops, so my toes needed to be done, and I had to go get a professional pedicure. I was still like…

Goodwill does 99 cent tag days on Sunday's and Wednesdays, thrift stores are usually good, and now that it's yard sale time I'm hitting them up too. You don't have to go full price to replace things that you won't be wearing very long.
-
That's wonderful! Congratulations!

I sure hope I don't get looked over because of my weight. I'm in the middle of a job hunt right about now. I've had several calls for interviews (all the interviews I went on were today) based on my resume, and I'll be really upset if none of them call me back again. I'm very qualified for what I do.
-
I went on a few job interviews today, and one of them I had to park in a parking garage. I decided to take the stairs down to the interview and then back up to my car instead of the elevator (even though it was only one level).

Fruit and veggies may still have calories, but haven't you noticed that you can eat a lot more fruit or veggies for 100 calories than you can chips? I'd much rather have 100 calories of something healthy that would more than fill me up,than 100 calories of chips that make me just want more.

Walking is the best answer I can think of, just like everyone else has. That's the majority of what I do, but I'm also pushing my growing baby in the stroller, and now that he's about 24 pounds, I'm getting lots of extra resistance added in too.
-
I never had a weight problem growing up. Mom did tell me the other day that I was heavier than I remember being in high school, but I was very well proportioned, and you couldn't tell I was nearly as heavy as I actually was. I was about 145 at graduation, and wearing a size 6. I didn't start gaining weight until right…

They've been doing that since I quit working for Walmart 5 years ago. I despise everything about that place. Yet, I'm in there at least 2-3 times a month.
