Congrats!!! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: I love mini milestones they give us something to look forward to, something to motivate us.

The age-old American message. "You can't be happy unless you're skinny, beautiful, and rich." Don't get me wrong, we're all on here to change our weight, be healthier and probably by extension, happier. But come on America what happened to being happy with who you are?

Big first week losses are great motivations. I remember losing 9 my first week and wanting to faint and jump for joy at the same time! Just remember that you won't lose this much every week (and it wouldn't be healthy to!) Depending on how much you have to lose, you can and should lose between 1-4 pounds a week (4 if you…

You do NOT need to change everything at once. It takes longer, but baby steps are more productive. Change your diet slightly, portion sizes/better choices. Think about exercising one more time a week than you do(or start with just one!). Don't try to go from 0-60 in 3.3! Remember. Slow and steady wins the race! And don't…

AMEN. I've read all the posts and you all have good (and repeated) points. There's no one way to go about anything in life, including a healthy diet. I think the post I thought about most when I read this one was the Skinny Cow post. Like it has been said, for someone who has been eating something really bad for them all…

Well I have good news and bad news. Bad news is that I didn't lose any weight this week. I weigh in at the doctors office every Friday before lunch (I get up really late on Fridays since I don't have school), then have lunch with my mom who works at my doctors office. So of course I was a bit put out. I know its not water…

I'm aiming for 160 because have a large frame (wrist size is 6 1/4"). But I intend to discuss it with my doctor this friday and see what she thinks as well as reassessing when I get closer, probably when I hit 200, I'll think on what my true goals are.

Fat percentage might be a better way to think about it, since you're so close to your "number" goal. Also, think about consulting a doctor, nutritionist (licensed or has a degree!) and see what they think.

So theoretically, I could be a size 6/8 or lower when I'm 150 at 5'9"?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! :noway: I can NOT imagine myself that small. I can't remember wearing anything less than a 12...

Even cardio builds muscles!

Ironically 15 is the most I've ever lost as well! So I'm with you two, getting over that previous weight loss "hump", that feeling of "I've been here before, let's go somewhere I haven't been" will be great. So lets kick it into gear this week and get over those humps!
-
Remember that healthy weight loss is between 1-2 pounds a week. So if you've lost 6, you should reasonably and healthily(not a word is it?), lose 6-12 pounds by the end of August, so 15 would probably be your best goal. That's a great idea though! I love the athletic goal of running around the lakes. Have you considered a…

15lbs (10% of goal) - By July 30th (my birthday) MET: JULY 17TH - Reward: Mani/Pedi courtesy of my friend Rosi as a birthday gift.

Weigh in Day! Last week: 291 This week: 288 Whoot! I met my 15 pound goal!

Welcome both of you! Great to see other's goals. Elizabeth, those are great mini goals. I hadn't considered making goals for anything other than actual weight loss! That's a good idea! I think I'll add a goal to my list. Mini Non weight Goal - Go to the gym 3 times a week for a month - Reward: New Gym Clothes!…

Remember, it takes 3500 calories to make a pound of fat. I DOUBT you ate 10500 calories. Plus you have to remember that your body burns calories even while resting. Don't worry about a binge day, it can actually be good for your metabolism! Besides, wouldn't you have been miserable if you were counting calories on your…

That's a great goal! I'd love to go on a trip myself. Maybe that can be my final goal. ^_^ Come on ladies, join! You know you want to!

 I did this! In fact, I used an online weight loss simulator and put my highest weight and then my goal weight and put the word "OR" between them... If I eat that block of cheese, I'll be the big one. OR If I eat an apple instead, I'll be the smaller one!

It's great to see people like you on here that have lost so much. It shows me that it's possible, I can lose this weight! Thank you for the inspiration and keep it going, you're amazing. I'm sure there are many of us on this site which could use your advice!

My weigh in results! Last week - 292.6 This Week - 291.0 Whoot. ^_^

I love me more than I love the Wendy's Baconater... which I just found out is over 800 calories for just the sandwich. Yet another eye opener to why I got so big in the first place!
-
For me my goal number came from a "healthy" weight for my height. I too feel like I'll hit a point where that number won't mean as much as how I feel and actual health things like being off my meds, my numbers being good on blood tests, and FEELING fit. Plus, I honestly can't imagine being 150 pounds... I haven't weighed…

Congrats Ladies!! Personally my goal this week is to do 50 laps in the pool. 10 down so far!
-
Right?! There's nothing like actually looking up the calories in a favorite dish. My favorite at Chili's, their chicken crispers.... 1780 CALORIES!!! My jaw actually dropped. Its nice to be able to honestly look at my diet before and see just why I got so big. I also agree on the "don't feed your kids crap" thing. When I…

I had to weigh in early this week due to July 4th and the doctors office where I weigh in being closed tomorrow. I lost 2 pounds this week! So now I've lost 11 pounds! Which of course means that I had to change my goals slightly, but I'm excited! The 300's are officially gone and NEVER coming back! Now for the 290's...…

I agree with the previous posters, some protein in your breakfast will help keep you full longer and stabilize your blood sugar.

I'm in! Starting weight: 294

Two words. Turkey burgers. Especially for that cookout coming this weekend! Get some lean turkey meat and add some good spices and veggies. Find some healthier alternatives to the general cook out stuff. Offer to make a dip out of greek yogurt instead of sour cream or bring baked chips. There are plenty of things you can…

I maintained this week, which is slightly disappointing but I realized that I was very stressed this week and dealing with family drama as well as inappropriate foods. I spent three days this week down at the pizza shop due to family stuff. So I'm happy I maintained.

Anyone have an idea for this weeks challenge?
