I cut back on my running and dropped my calories for a week; I switched to walking & took two days off during the week. Helped me lose 3 lbs the past week.

Remember, too, that 3500 calories are in a pound so you would have to eat a lot of calories to gain that much so fast! There are times when I'll go from one day to the next with the scale going up a few pounds - which is IMPOSSIBLE! I just laugh and remember too watch my sodium better.

I started getting MGD64 (also known as Miller64) or Michelob Ultra if they don't have the Miller. I was always a Bud Light drinker, but I don't like hangovers anymore so it's worth it to me for the switch to a lighter beer. I'll still go for the aluminum bottle Bud Light when and if they have it anywhere - but it's hard to…

I absolutely love your posts... and the Godiva chocolates aren't bad, either! I'm looking forward to hearing about the FitBit - that's my next purchase on my journey. Congratulations on the weight loss, by the way! That's fantastic for a month!!!

What a great post and big cheers for you and your wil power!! Your story is a definite inspiration for me! THANK YOU!!!!

I'm at 1889 right now.. exercising calories averages 2200-2500/week. I had it upped based on higher exercise that I was doing, but found it very hard to eat more calories that were healthy so I'm back to the 1889 to see how that works. I had it upped to 2130 and the first week I lost 2 lbs after being the same for almost…

At my biggest I was a 44DDD and now I'm a 36G and quite happy with that - lol!

I am a Coke Zero fan. I used to drink diet coke, but it makes me feel sick because I would go through maybe 4 a day - but my choice was usually in the form of afountain drinks from McDonald's. Then I switched to regular Coke and I LOVE that stuff, but with trying to lose weight, I wasn't willing to waste my calories on it.…

Oh boy.. I wish I could leave work now and go home and make these! Can't wait to try them! Thanks!!

Not sure about the kosher part, but today I boiled chicken breast, cut it into pieces and shredded it when cool. I layered long grain brown rice, the chicken, the steamed broccoli, repeat and on top a mixture of sauteed onion, celery, cream of chicken soup & a cuip of skim milk and baked for 30 minutes. It made 7 almost 9…

So happy for you!!! What an accomplishment! I'm running my first 5K in September and can't wait!

Ditto everyone else - GREAT IDEA!!!!

I eat 4 large egg whites pretty much everyday - and buying organic & cage free gets a bit expensive - lol. Loving these summer months when I can buy them at farmer's markets. They are my main source of protein, too.

Hi. If you do a search in the topics for TDEE and BMR, you will find a lot of the information you are looking for! Basically, eating about 20% less than your TDEE is what you should shoot for - simplified.

I'm 5'1", weight is 158. I was eating at 1590, then 1700...kept fluctuating my weight. Used a chart someone had here on MPF, upped my cals to 2130 last week based on my exercise and lost 2 lbs the first week. I had been fluctuating 160-163 for three months eating at lower cals. I do NOT eat my exercise cals back and am…

try roadrunnersports.com. they have a question section where it will tell you what shoes you should try,
-
I love zumba - my arms are getting toned from it, but haven't really had weight loss from it. I work hard at it, but it all depends on the routine as to the calorie burn. I was burning 178-238 cals in 31-33 mins with the previous routines; the instruction changed them and I only burned 93 cals the last time and I'm not…

Go to roadrunnersports.com and they have an online way to help you pick shoes - it will ask you for some information and then give you which shoes would be best for you. It's pretty neat. I just bought Brooks Glycerin 9's and a pair of Nike Pegasus 28 - love them both; probably the Brooks a bit more (and the price is…

Thanks for posting this question! I was getting up at 4 am to leave the house by 4:30, but it seems right as I'm ready to leave the house, I get "that" urge so I end up waiting around another 15 minutes. My problem is that I sometimes feel like my bladder is going to pop as soon as I start running; once I get past the…

Give them away, donate or sell on ebay, depending on the brand & condition. I had a lot of brand name jeans that I bought a few months ago that are too big, so I sold them on ebay to get money to buy new ones!

Every single time I run - and that is 5-6 days a week, the first mile is always the worst, Seems it takes me that long to get my stride . If I just don't feel it (and some days I don't), then I'll alternate running and walking. One day a week I'll do a 5-7 mile run; the other days 2-4, but it may be doing all running or…

Great job - you can definitely see a difference

I get the regular italian, too, because it's lower calories. I love the flatbread, but Subway breads are not the healthiest, I rarely go there anymore, I get either turkey & black ham or the roast beef - both with only one piece of white american cheese.
-
I chop it up and cook it with zucchini, yellow squash, onion and cauliflower in a little bit of olive oil & fresh ground pepper. I love it raw with a dab of peanut butter - a very small dab of Skippy natural peanut butter. I ate half a package of it for lunch today!

Trader Joe's has a great blueberry pancake recipe using their multi grain baking mix - I don't have it on me right now but I believe it's online. I use apple sauce instead of oil and I don't even need syrup with them.

Started in January of this year with counting calories on here and walking at the mall since it was the dead of winter. I alternated days walking with doing Bob Harper's weight loss yoga and another of his DVDs I can't remember - Pure strength, Pure Burn may be the name. By March, I started the Jillian Michaels 30 Day…
