I got one across the top of my wrist for my 40th birthday and I love it seven years later (and can't wait to get the next one). My husband was furious and my parents weren't thrilled, but they got over it when they saw it. I got it where I can cover it with a watch if I need to for work purposes on the occassions where I'm…

This has happened to me over and over... In fact, even eating better and cutting sugar, the scale had me gaining 5 lbs over two days. It's frustrating, but try not to be discouraged.

I'm 5'1.5" (the doctor says to claim that extra .5 inch - lol). I was down to only needing to lose 17 lbs but gained 35 back so I'm in full-force "ready to do it" mode. Feel free to add me if you like :)

Congrats! Almost two years ago, I started out how you did. I still remember the first time I ran a mile without having to walk at all and how excited I was. My goal after that was two miles, then three, then I got to the point of doing five or six miles easily at least four times a week and walking the other days. At that…

You look great! Congratulations!!! Woo hoo!!!

Great job!!!!

My experience with my treadmill is that the calculating it does is OFF. I know my running time right now is around an 11 minute mile, but on my treadmill it says I only have .61 miles at 15 minutes so I don't use the treadmill numbers for anything - especially not for calorie counting. I throw a towel over the display,…

Macy's or JCPenney's will sometimes offer bra fittings, at least around here. I had been wearing a 44DDD (that was many pounds ago), but got fitted as a 38G about a year ago and it's incredible how much better everything looks & feels. The ONLY brand I wear is Wacoal, though. I got spoiled despite the cost. The fit is so…

What a fantastic story - you are definitely an inspiration & I'm so happy for you! Continued success on your journey & thanks for sharing!!

Anytime someone mentions a desire to lose weight or get fit, I tell them about MFP. I'm VERY happy to brag about it to anyone willing to listen, but I don't start random conversations about it.

I wait; I would never message anyone & remind them to friend me - I guess that's because I figure if they want to add me, they will and if not, I'm not going to beg. That's just me, though

My preference was running outside, too, however.... I was all "gung-ho" about it until I tried it. it wasn't the cold - I was prepared for that, but the roads and sidewalks are dangerous. I tried it once in snow/ice conditions (I'm 8 miles outside of Pittsburgh, PA) - never again. It sounds weird & looks weird, but when…

I used my FT4 for a year straight pretty much every day at least once a day, with rinsing after each use and washing twice a week. After the first year, I noticed it was not working properly. I first tried a new battery in the watch; that didn't work. I ended up buying a new strap (around $20-$30) off of Amazon and…

Whatever you do, don't get discouraged! I lost 52 lbs Jan 2012 - Sept 2012 then I was stuck through April of this year - even with modifying my cal intake, changing up exercises, started lifting weights.... I WAS STUCK. I've never gone a day without logging in my food no matter how bad it was (even though MFP messed up my…

OMG I don't even know how to react...this is really pretty sad (aside from being funny).

I'm a Libra and it's all me except for holding a grudge - I'm the last person to hold a grudge. Husband is a Gemini and it is him to a "t". This was fun, thanks for posting :)

I still eat fast food, just with smarter choices like chicken, but sometimes I still want a quarter pounder with cheese so I order it with once slice of cheese, onion and ketchup then I only eat one half of the bun. I don't eat fast food fries anymore unless I'm with someone that has them then I'll have one or two -…

I got them the first time I ran, but once I bought running shoes that I fit great along with running socks, I never got them again - the most I have ever run straight is 8 miles. I know if I don't have the right shoes for the job, my little toe & balls of my feet will get sore. I definitely believe it's about the right…

HRM for any and all my cardio. I lost 54 lbs using it last year; this year I got a fitbit and I love it, and I love how it syncs and adjusts with MFP input, but I'm not having as much success using it. I need to use my HRM more often (it's a polar ft4).

Love my Polar FT4!

Pretty much everyday - 4 large cage free/organic brown egg whites only (because I don't really like yolks), either in a lavash wrap, plain, with swiss cheese or 1/2 slice 2% american, sometimes in any kind of wrap, sometimes with lettuce, sometimes with a slice of center cut bacon, etc. But I absolutely LOVE egg whites!…

Outside definitely, but last winter I found I had no where to go in the winter and wanted my treadmill back. Outside is such a different experience.

I use 2% American cheeses slices, preferably Kraft. I also use Pam Butter spray on the bread instead of the light butter, that saves me calories so I can have two grilled cheese with 1.5 slices of cheese on each.. then dipped into tomato soup. yum!

Congrats on a great job and you are so fortunate to have your husband doing the same thing. I've been on my journey since Jan 2012, lost 54 lbs in nine months than had some issues where I wasn't able to work out & gained back some (but MFP has been a staple for me since the day i joined, I missed a day logging and it reset…

I've had the Fitbit One since January and love it. I use a Polar HRM for my cardio and only ever take the Fitbit off for showering. I use MapMyRun when I do my runs so that I can get my mileage, pace, etc. but I never use the GPS calories burned (for example I walked/jogged yesterday and had 271 cals burned MMR had 512…

I ran my first 5K last September after starting to run in March, but then only walking for two months due to bursitis in my hip. I did fine, but I was walking anywhere from 3-8 miles 5-6 days a week. I walked a 5K this past June and came in first in my age group, then did an intense 8 mile trail hike two weeks later and…

Phrick I'm with you - I had lost 54 lbs last year (gained a bit back with some health issues but on my way again). I went from a 44DDD to a 36G which is where I'm still at. Even when I weighed 104, I was still a 36DD. It's different for everybody.

Love this!!

That's awesome! You get all the credit for running in extreme heat... I haven't done it since temps started reaching the 80's. I simply can't breathe when it's that hot _ very impressed!
