A Jo Nesbo book. Can't remember the name but I'm enjoying it. Billed as the next Steig Larsson - not sure about that yet, but it's a good yarn

Awesome by name, awesome by nature

That was quite inspiring, thanks. He obviously had some kind of 'aha' moment.

Sure, if you want to be friends with a cow!

No, that's a great picture

Little Nicci: Kristen Schaal?

Yes those are hard for me too. I can do the first set with 2kg weights but revert to 1.5 for the second set (that's on day 3: on day 1 I couldn't have done that). They are fairly evil.

I found jogging hard, but after a few weeks of regular fairly intense indoor strength/cardio/abs (I used Jillian Michael's 30 day shred), it was suprising how much easier jogging was (even though the cardio in the 30 day shred is really a small amount). I think developing more strength helped (not just fitness).

TPBM thinks I killed this thread...

I'm going to do it as many days as I can. No doubt there'll be days here and there where I can't for some reason, and these will serve as rest days. I'm in NZ so it's midmorning on 8 July here now. Alternating is a good idea, I might do that if I get bored. I just did Level 1 for the first time in ages. It was fun! I did…

True - common as muck TPBM loves potplants

Yeah, why not. I'm in!

I find eating breakfast helpful as it keeps my energy levels up and means I'm less hungry at lunch, but if you hate the idea maybe one of those milk-based drinks would be good - if I'm in a rush I'll sometimes have one of those 'Get Up And Go' drinks. They're a bit high in sugar but otherwise OK and goes down easy.

On the rare occasions I go to the gym, I don't pay the least attention to the size of other gym-goers. You're doing it for you, right? So you can focus on the experience for you. A) what others might think doesn't matter, and B) they won't be thinking anything bad anyway. So I reckon just enjoy it and go for it. Hope it…

But the test results say 'undercooked chicken'. So at least if cannibals got me, they'd have a serious stomachache. Karma!

I actually think I'd be quite delicious; marbled with fat. Probably a bit like pork

Well done for coming back!:smooched:

Hi there, yep you'll possibly get blown up whether you eat too much or too little! There are lots of different ideas out there :-) I had a look through your diary and I did get the sense that if anything, you might be eating possibly too little on some days. Your breakfasts look really good, but your lunches look a bit on…

I want a beagle so I can call my house the Beagle's Nest

It was over a month of level 1 before I could do the whole thing without stopping. Actually I still struggle with parts of it. But if you do it regularly, even if you have to stop or walk on the spot sometimes, you do get fitter and stronger with practice. Some of the things I found really hard at first and thought I could…

Not healthy exactly... but jam and cheese sandwiches would be one of my favourites. Chilli goes great with almonds.

Your breakfasts sound excellent. I'm in Wellington, New Zealand. Mostly breakfast is toast: toast with cream cheese, toast with a poached egg and/or smoked salmon, or toast with jam and cheese (which my English grandmother taught me to love). Or muesli (or in winter, porridge). Lunch is often leftovers from evening meal,…

mmmm, porkrinds! Actually I've never had pork rinds but love the Simpsons, and thought it would be funny on a calorie counting site

I've got an unreasonably fluffy grey and white cat with a baking fetish.

Yeah I found it very hard at first, but you build up strength quite quickly. I never thought I'd be able to do plank jacks for the whole time, but within a couple of weeks I could. I still have trouble with the chair squats but even that's getting easier. Good luck!
