I have the same routine: workout w/o eating, go home use bathroom, strip naked and weigh myself. :p

pfft some of you all are crazy! A 6 piece nugget or a mcdouble is NOT enough for me for a meal, I'm always left hungry after fastfood because a tiny portion is so many calories. To fill me up I need like an angus burger and a medium fry. McDonalds just depresses me because when I crave a big greasy burger, it's just never…

I'm only 2.5lbs away from my BMI and I STILL feel this every now and then. Much less than I did 36lbs ago... When the results are good though, I have those skinny days that sort of cancel out those fat days. All of us on here still has to go through the mental/emotional changes in our bodies. I'm still not used to mine. I…

I think that's a valid point, but food addiction is relatively new to the psych field. And I also wanted to point out that it's much more prevalent than you think, mainly because it's happening and no one notices because they aren't "drunk" or "high". Many times when people reach such a large and I'm mean a LARGE weight,…

When I started my weight loss journey, I was 192lbs (my healthy BMI: 155lbs). I had been gaining weight at ridiculous amounts and couldn't lose, so I was very discouraged at this time. Later, after many blood tests, I was diagnosed with insulin resistance and put on Metformin. In the first two months on Metformin, I…

The only reason I ever agree with OP is because girls with our figure (op's and mine) have almost disappeared and it's frustrating. We don't make it into magazines or movies anymore. If you pay attention in pop media now a days the girl is either tiny or overweight (which is FINE) but where has the middle gone? The girls…

I don't think you needed to explain yourself at all. People on the internet will do anything to start drama since virtual arguments give you a safe place to hide (your keyboard). People with common sense got where you were coming from, and understood this was just a story. People who took it seriously, probably take…

So overall I think people need to quit policing the "underfed" comment. OP is expressing herself, and I saw that she was just expressing a stereotype. I'm sorry, but the tiny b*tch on the subway is a mean girl stereotype and OP was just having an "of course she would be evil" moment. I would have sat on her (I'm 159 lbs,…

I'm not trying to come off accusatory or anything, but I honestly think you need to change your attitudes towards food and eating. I'm seeing red flags in your post and your comments. I think you need to do it on your own or if it worsens, seek help. This is why psychologists speculate 95% of American women have an eating…

^ this is what I'm wondering. Are you on a medication that messes with appetite or sedentary all day? I don't think this should be a problem. I've never really fully believed other posters when they say it's so hard to reach 1200 calories unless something is actually interfering. If you get up at a decent time (when early,…

Belly Dancing!!!! If you're in a good class, you'll burn. According to my Heart Rate Monitor watch I burned 900 calories in 2 hours today at a body isolation workshop. Belly dance will tone, and work out those muscles in your torso, legs, and arms you didn't even know you had. I learned today that I can actually move my…

Those workouts I do regularly during the week are either 15 min bicycle and 30 min elliptical, or just 45 min straight elliptical. Are those the type of the workouts you're talking about?

See, I don't think this is breaking your diet. This is part of the "bad things in moderation" part. To other responses in this thread, the talk about being so strict on a diet is kind of sad. We make fun of "fat people" because they are slaves to food consumption, but a lot of times of MFP I see people who are slaves to…

Curse you Pringles!!!!!!!

Yeah I agree, I get 1400 and I have 5 lbs left til my BMI- but this is to reach 15 lbs from now. I had a friend who had to eat like 1250 to lose anything because she's short. I just work out so I can eat more >:) I also have PCOS, so my insulin resistance makes this whole process a little slower than you guys... >.<

Okay I'm a counselor in training and am currently working with kids, we've had a lot of discussion over it. I think both ways work. The non spanking methods, if carried out correctly (the talking to, punishing by time out and whatnot) are very effective. Parents have a hard time doing this method the right way a lot of…

Omg this ^^^^ tried to say it already, but you did it so much better for me!!!

This thread is kinda funny. I'm reading at people nitpicking at certain messages to sort of poke fun at this subject. I love how a mini religious section started. This convo raises a good point. I don't care who you are, a promise is a promise, and if you can't handle it, don't get married! Simple as that! So don't make…

...You just set the women's movement back like 50 years. Sigh.

I really don't care, I think it's the label that comes with the "makeup wearers". Like I remember in undergrad when I went to the campus gym, there was this group of girls I saw almost every time. They were in full makeup, and hair was done all elaborately, and they were in all the latest and cutest workout clothes. They…

OMG!!! Congrats!!! You look amazing!!!!!

If you're left being hungry a lot, do lightly active. I walk around a college campus all day and at my practicum site I walk 5 blocks to my car about 3 times in a day ( i move my car behind the building after 5). I have mine set to sedentary so it gives me that freedom when MFP over estimates my calorie intake or whatnot.…

I'm actually in school for professional counseling. If this becomes a problem that can't be fixed and it's really hindering the relationship go in for a tune up. It will make your communication much better and add more trust. It will strengthen your relationship greatly if you feel you need some. I think it's a great idea…

AMAZING!!! And WOW you looked amazing in your dress too!!! Va Va Voom!!!

You look so much younger and I can REALLY tell in your face!!! Doing AMAZING!!!

I actually do, and I had no idea it was related to PCOS until my dermatologist told me when I filled her in on my condition... I actually have it on my butt lol. It really sucks and they hurt when there's a new breakout. I have tried everything, and it gets worse when I work out (yay myfitnesspal lol) and the creams only…

Yeah I was struggling in this thread on what a "cheat" is. Because I eat out about 2-3 times a week, but I stay within my calories/fat and work out. Like I'm getting hothead (pretty much Chipolte) my 2nd time this week tonight but I worked out and I'm not going over. Is that a cheat meal? Or is ordering pizza or eating a…

Absolutely amazing!!! Keep up the good work! :D

I don't think she was trying to pick on any one in particular. I think she was just reminded of other boards. I agree with the first comment, because I see people on 1000 calorie diets and say that everyone should be on it and it's not hard, or people who lost all this weight liking to pretend they don't like food anymore…
