I am not sure about the HRM... my wife tried the one scorcee (sp?) one, it didn't work well at all. I am definitely +1 for Runkeeper though... works flawlessly.

I can't recommend enough using a program like c25k for getting into running shape. I started 3 weeks ago and I couldn't run for more then 30 seconds. I am running at 6 min intervals now. The iphone/android app "Ease into 5k" is awesome.

What I have found is that adding cheese to anything really cranks up the cals! Add a wedge of laughing cow light garlic cheese... it is only 35cals and I think it adds so much more taste then american cheese. Of course use a light wheet hamburger bun (90 cals) and I think you are in good shape.

i am finding that eating something with high fiber prevents this, the first couple of days I could barely function... apples and fiber one bars give me the energy I need. I was at 12 diet cokes a day and went to 0 cold turkey... so I had a lot of caffeine to make up for.

I am new here, so I am sure people who have been doing it longer might have better advice.... with that said!! Don't think twice about it. If you had a bad day, just start out better tomorrow.
