The better cook you are, the easier it is to make healthy meals that are just as good! I agree with the others, have a nice chat about your goals and how important this to you and, although you really love her food, you need to eat healthy.... and maybe have a time when you splurge now and again.

My weigh in day is Friday, in the morning wearing very little or nothing right before I get into the shower. I do tend to weigh myself daily, just out of curiosity, but number that counts is the one on Friday.

I've also been told that if you must drink it, regular is better than diet. However, I think its better to just cut them out completely or have one very sparingly.

I use Instant Breakfast a lot actually. They make sugar free versions, which I use, and there are none powdered (ready to drink) versions too. They work well for me because solid food doesn't always agree with me super early in the morning. I usually have a glass of Instant Breakfast and a banana.

It can keep you a bit fuller and is good for a ton of other things -- skin, hair, nails, and of course all of your other bodily functions that need water! If you have trouble getting to 8 right away try for 5 or 6 and then up it slowly.

I will occasionally have a Mike's but I do try to stay away from regular margaritas and daiquiris as they as loaded with sugar and a bazillion calories. The Skinny Girl line is good for those kinds. :)

I think it depends on the delivery. If you said to me, 'hey great job with the blah blah, those are fun/hard/a pain in the *kitten*, but i noticed that you are doing this and that could hurt you' versus 'your blah blah sucks and you're doing completely wrong' --- I'd be a lot more receptive to the first.

Once your levels are correct then most of your symptoms should go away and retaining weight because of hypo should no longer be an issue.

Do you have a thyroid issue? Those who are hypo are sensitive to cold though once it's under control that lessens. Though, if its just after you eat and only in one area it likely isn't thyroid related.
