My gut instinct is to worry they wouldn't be socialized enough, however each kid is different.... However I've had several friends in college who went from homeschooled to a large state university (like the size of Notre Dame, Purdue, etc) and did not adjust well at all. I'd also worry that the parents would let their bias…

I don't add people I don't know and if I haven't talked to them in over a year I delete them. Just my way of keeping things simple. :) I try not to put anything on FB that I would be embarrassed about.

Some private schools actually have gag orders that you must sign in order to attend the school....such no bashing the school or administration on the internet which includes FB.The school is responsible for education only. If they feel there is an issue at home or with other students or with safety there are a number of…

If you know each other well enough to get married, marriage shouldn't be such a shock. You will probably want to kill each other during planning.

You are setting yourself up for failure if you berate and punish yourself every time you have something like cheesecake (or a whole bag of chips, a bunch of cookies, a huge burger, fast food, etc). Tomorrow is a new day. You will do better tomorrow. As long as you aren't snarfing that Reese cheesecake everyday then it…

I have heard (heard, mind you) that those with autism tend to have some gastrointestinal problems as well. My brother is autistic and doesn't so I how much truth there is to that -- but if there is a gastrointestinal problem it is POSSIBLE that gluten could be the problem. Would having my gastrointestinal problem fixed…

I also have greasy skin on my face from a greasy scalp and I just don't use cream/liquid foundations. I use a tiny bit of concealer here and there if I need it. Otherwise I stick to powder only and even then keep some of Clean & Clear's Oil Absorbing sheets in my purse. I've tried Bare Minerals and liked it but was too…

That a gluten free diet can help cure autism. I want to punch people who say that in the face. Repeatedly.
-
That you must eat a raw diet that keeps enzymes intact (not heating them; fruits and veggies), because the body only has a limited supply and if you eat raw then you won't "use up" your enzymes. :noway:

WTF. lol.

People flip out about healthy fats...like avocados....so good for you but considered a "fatty" food. It is monosaturated -- the good kind that can LOWER cholesterol levels. I do drink fat free/skim milk though -- only because I prefer the taste. I get my good fats elsewhere.
-
That there is no such thing as a "good fat" or that you should never eat ANY kind of fat. My MIL says she eats a 100% fat free diet -- uh huh....sure you do. :grumble:

I try to avoid this kind of thinking as I don't find it production at all. However. - Not buy clothes with a X in the size. - Better sex. - Buy a bikini. - Have more self confidence and self esteem. - Be at a healthy weight when my husband and I are ready to take the step to have children. - Not worry about planes/rides/etc

I snack! But on something sensible like the Kellog's Special K products or finely chopped up fruits like apples and pears (so that you think you are getting more).

Feel free to add. You will be so surprised when you realize that now only are you getting better with breathing and endurance but you will learn to love it and start to consider yourself a runner. :)

Earbuds don't stay in for me either. I use behind the neck headphones like these -- http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Sony+-+Street+Style+Behind-the-Neck+Headphones/9236258.p?id=1218072945062&skuId=9236258&st=headphones%20behind%20the%20neck&cp=1&lp=1 Comfy and stay on.

I've been doing C25K and so have been able to get up to 28 minutes continuous. I haven't checked my distance yet.

Entering week 9 (out of 9) and the program is great! Don't be afraid to repeat some weeks if you still find yourself struggling. :)
-
When I first started I was only doing the C25K the required three times a week (generally Mon, Wed, Fri) and nothing inbetween up until about week 4 when my knees finally stopped bothering me. Now I do some walking on my inbetween days and I'm looking into something to add to my off days. I've heard amazing things about…

I've been told to make sure, on days when you exercise, your net calories are at least 1500. I'm going to poke around some more and see what I find.
