This^ Doing twice a week and wish I had tried it in my 20's. If you have never tried it, try it. Give it a month and you'll never look back. Not a huge calorie burner in it's own. But it keeps me healthy and flexible enough to work out the rest of the week. Having said that I have been wearing a blue tooth chest HRM…

I found this a while ago. I simplified the approach for me. I could always do 20 decent pushups. So one night I started at 20 and every night thereafter I would add 1. This was non-stop, steady rythm with good breathing. I got up to 70. Am sure none of them perfect form but nobody was watching, just my own wee challenge.…

I used a machine a long time ago, then recently at the beginning of the summer at a phsyiotherapist office. Don't know whats its called but you sit in a seat an sort of peddle with your arms. Just googled and found this. Can be put on a table top to use with arms and hands.…

Concentrated tea tree oil. Just on the pimple. For me 24-48 hrs and it's gone. However, my wife won't use it as she says it does dry her skin. http://www.thebodyshop-usa.com/skin-care/skin-care-best-sellers/tea-tree-oil.aspx

I used to get blisters on my heel, at the achilles, when I played soccer. Lots of tape, socks, etc never worked. One time within 5 mins of starting a game my heels were bleeding and I needed to come off the field. I wore those neoprene ankle supports, which have the hole in the heel? I took it off and revolved it 180 so…

I am lucky to have a gym on site at my office complex. So I do a workout followed by a shower. I then eat at my desk while catching up on emails. I just have a simple turkey wrap and it takes me only 5 mins to eat.

Darn it - i did 135 floors today as well. No credit on MFP!

+1. My uncle has an audible account which allows up to 5 devices. He uses 2 devices and he gave me his audible ID and password for my phone . I love walking in the evening (my dog staring at me tells me when this begins - he lets me go with him on the walk!) and listening to books. Great way to get some own time / workout…

Finally found this thread on the 1st of the month! First time joiner. Am tracking my rides through Endomondo (same user name) and was out today: Distance 20.51 miles Duration 1h:36m:31s I'm not sure of a target for the month, so will just use September to set my baseline. Glad to be aboard!!! jim

Got my bike back from a tune up and rather than wait until tomorrow I went out for a run at night. With lots of lights on!! Never done a night ride before and it was quite fun

All of what myfitnessnmhoy said. I go to a small family owned LBS and they would be perfect for you. Bob wants to give you the right bike for what you want to do. The bigger, glitzy stores just want to book $$$$. Visit a few stores in your hood and talk to someone about what you want. If you want to race and win races you…

I played university VB and also coached the team the year after I graduated. Am not a certified coach but I just copied the drills the departing coach used. One good drill he called "20 balls" - always good to have a funny title :o) Coach is at mid net (3 position) and a setter at the 2 position. Rest of the team is around…

I don't think I would have bought it. But I was sent it as a gift from my uncle who got one for himself. I love mine and find it very motivating and rewarding. I got it a few months ago, the spring. I got an email from fitbit Friday that I had earned my 250 mile lifetime walking badge!! I myself find that extremely cool!…

My friend posted a recipe for zuchinni pizza today, from which you could take the base out to layer in a lasagna. Maybe? (I'm no cook - depth of my cooking is how many minutes to microwave stuff) http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/Wolfe1759/view/a-delightful-surprise-zucchini-pizza-375354

I do a Cybex stepper machine at the gym at lunch. On the level I set it at, at the pace I go I reach 600+ cals in 30 mins. Mon/Tue I got back on and did 20 mins more and got over 1000+ cals for 50 mins. It's just weight, time and intensity setting. I know it isn't that scientific but I LOVE seeing 600+ at the end of the…

In a lovey mood. John Martyn "Couldn't love you more" "If you kissed the sun right out of the sky for me And if you told me all the lies that I deserve And if you laid all night in the rain for me Well, I couldn't love you more " Great version on the OGWT http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_zxphApcrY And great cover by Lisa…

Tried to each 4 squares of Cadbury's Dairy Milk chocolate bar - ended up eating the whole bar. 550 cals. I booked it in MFP though. Not hiding that part. But it was soooooooooooooooooooooo good

Rather than trainers, maybe get the ankle supports from the pharmacy (edit - just saw you're from England. Pharmacy = Boots  )? Lot cheaper than specialist shoes. I use compression type ankle supports that you pull on. I've some friends that use the lace up supports. And I've seen a support that has a cantilevered…

I don't know what that ^ is, but it looks delish!

Wholewheat wrap, turkey lunch meat, lettuce tomato and little oil/vinegar, from the deli. Counting as 270 cals from MFP db. Recently changed to m/wave noodle lunches and weight loss stalled a little. So reverting back to my exact formula when I was successfully losing weight. Tomorrow trying a homemade similar thing. From…

The best shorts I have are Sugoi, were about $80. Thick heavy spandex, contour shaped for when you are in riding position and serious padding on the bum. But they were worth every single penny. I look like a prat walking towards my bike, but once I am riding they are perfectly designed. My rides are about 90 mins so I need…

I've done step machine with a twisted ankle and creaky knees. Zero impact and if you keep you feet flat on the platform your ankle does not flex much. With good ankles I did a 30 min (max allowed on machine) then a 20 min and burned 1003 cals on Friday I gave myself a ^5 Like this one:…

I actually do a very simple recipe. 1 part oats (various different kinds, Red Mills) 3 parts water and some dried cranberries. Delish! If I use Scottish Porridge oats or oatbran oats (finely ground) I usually just put the slow cooker on "keep warm" and they come out perfect. If I use steel cut oats they come out too…
