At the age of "52" after going up and down in my weight for the previous 20 yrs., I too needed something that would change my life and lifestyle. Since working out on my own didn't seem to do the job I got a "very reasonable" trainer who helped me go from at size 18 Women (230) to a size 10-12 at (165). I turn "56" this…

Go for it! Earlier this year my Trainer challenged me to complete a Trianthalon which consisted of a 5K. The one thing I did not like to do was run. After accepting the challenge and training for about 4 weeks, not only was I able to run the entire 5K , I completed it in 33 mins.; now I practically run everyday. This was…

Love it...will eat it on toast, apples, in shakes, P & J sandwich. I recommend eat one that is "natural" much more healthier. Super crunch w/nuts my absolute favorite.

Polar F4 or F6 ... Simple, User friendly, and not too expensive. I've used one daily for the past 2 years. Love it so much I purchase additional ones for family members. Shop around they frequently go on sale for a good price. I do highly recommend one with a chest trap.

Your wedding should reflect the two of you! Anyone who knows you will not have any problem with whatever choices you choose to celebrate your day. Last year I attended a wedding where the couple's first date and meal was breakfast, so at their reception, instead of serving the usual chicken, beef or fish dinner, everyone…

I know the feeling...I just completed my first triathlon which consisted of a 5k jog, 12 mile bike and 200 meter swim (my time was 1:50 mins) which at my age (55) was a serious challenge. Before doing this I had never jogged more than a quarter mile without walking in between. Now I jog and bike 3 times a week! Keep it up…

I would stick with an F4 or F6. More user friendly. I purchase the FT4 and returned it. For all the basic imput and information you'll need in turns of Calories burned, heartrate and calculation of information...F4 or F6 will do just fine. I do highly recommend the usage of one.

I have a Polar F4 and have often experienced the same thing. According to my trainer this will sometimes happen during intense training or cardio that involves running for a long period of time at a high energy level. Your heart rate isn't actually beating at that rate. After hitting your max it will sometimes show a high…

In May of 2008 I began working out with a trainer (who I am still with today), and this piece was one of the first things he gave me to read. I share it with everyone I've recommented to him and needless to say I am a living witness that every single word is true. Talk about a LOVE - HATE relationship! I've experienced it…

After being on medication for 5 or 6 yrs for HC I began a serious attempted to improve my health and fitness level to come off meds.
