Body Media is not an HRM... but it does calculate calorie burn via Galvanic Skin Response, skin temp, heat flux, and accelerometer - it is also a pedometer. The fitbit is only a pedometer and accelerometer I believe. I am not sure of the specifics so I will post a link explaining it better.…

I have a BodyMedia Fit and Love it. It gives me my calorie burn for the whole day and has a ton of great features... I posted a thread showing one of the reports you can run on all of your info. Let me know if you have any questions. **I do not work with of for BodyMedia - I just love the product**…

I am about to create a post that I have not seen anyone do before with BodyMedia Fit, so keep on the look out for it. The 2 versions that are on the website right now are the CORE and the LINK. The differences... The CORE is a little smaller.... The LINK has Bluetooth and can connect to a smart phone to give you readouts…

Body Bugg and Body Media both count steps as well... you can also pair a garmin heart rate monitor with the body media software.

Fitbit will be good if your walking or jogging for your workout... it will not be good at weights and stuff like that. BodyMedia Fit (what I have), is a device that is worn all day long on your arm... it does not read heart rate... but it gives you a really accurate reading for your calories burn from other sensors it…

There is no cardboard in it at all. It is made out of foam mats :-) after it was put together we shalacked it with watered down tacky glue so it had a better surface to hold the paint. This is an example of the type of mats we used... http://www.academy.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_10051_34560_-1

A fitbit will not monitor your heart rate. A heart rate monitor is only meant to be used during exercise, not all day long. If you want an overall total for calories burned all day you can go with a fitbit or a BodyMedia Fit. Personally, I bought a BodyMedia Fit and I LOVE LOVE LOVE this thing!!! I tried Fitbit in the…

It's fine not to gain much if you are overweight! When I got pregnant with my second son in July 2010 I weighed 206 pounds. In the first trimester I lost about 13-14 pounds. The day before I had him (via c-section) my doctor weighed me and I was back at 206 pounds (9.9 pounds of that was my son!). SO "technically" I didn't…
