Everybody loves to hate on meal replacements. I get it, but I've found they are pretty good for jumpstarting your diet. You get used to eating little and start to crave something else, which hopefully gets you ready to start counting calories.

Birth control pills can actually help you with your PMS cravings. So I think it is beneficial.

I cut out a ton of sugar and soda too. I felt foggy for the first week, but now I feel just fine! Hopefully it will pass quickly for you. :)

Looking good is a motivator for losing weight, but I'd like to think there would still be a lot of people working on their fitness even if it didn't change the way they looked. I don't see anything wrong with not caring about how you look, but maybe you should think about the consequences of being overweight on your health. Maybe you have? I am a student in the medical field and it has really made me look at the impact of being overweight and unfit on my body and not just concerned how it looks.…

I'm also trying to cut down on carbs and only eat them from fruits and veggies. This is my understanding of why carbs make it harder to lose weight: Carbs break down into sugar, elevated sugar in your blood stream makes you secrete insulin, and insulin stores the sugar in your muscle/fat cells for later use.

I'm a pear shape and had a breast augmentation/lift after my son was born. I am very pleased and would do it again. I think it's a great reward.

It's totally normal! I have lost my weight and going about five months into maintaining and I feel "blue" sometimes. It can be daunting knowing that this is a forever change.

I don't have a solution, but I wanted to let you know that we do the same thing in our degree program, only we have to wear shorts and sports bras! I seldom take a rest day. Tuesdays I walk four miles, which to me is rest. Friday I do HIT-Full Body and instead of running, I walk.

I did the shakes for breakfast and the meal bars for lunch for a little while. I lost weight. It was a good jumpstart for my diet. Once I got bored with the, I started eating healthy foods.
