  • Ok ladies, this group is moving a bit slow, but what are your July goals? I started 30 ds on 7/1 and since I'll be doing more toning than cardio I don't think the scale will move the same. I have set my goal to about 6 lbs this month rather than my usual 8.
  • yay for exercise, maybe you can work out at home some or get hubby to watch Gabriel so you can work out? I can't stand anything standing in my way of exercise now, funny how that works
  • Are you nursing baby? Do you include those calories in your food log?
  • Julie – woohoo! I see a baby in your near future. I had bloody show only once and had a baby a 8 hours later, I hope this is the case to put an end to your contractions and a beginning to life with Maisie. Rachael- Any way to get out of work already? Desk job or not, if I remember correctly you do accounting as well? My…
  • Great idea! Regina- great to hear from you! Not sure how you manage all that you do That is awesome! When does school begin? My 4 year old got a spot in the free school but it's only 8-11:30, I figure anything is better than him being bored all day. Potty training can be tricky and no 2 kids are alike, my first got trained…
  • I am glad you got the birth you wanted, I told her if the pitocin gets too strong speak up and tell them to ease off. The broke her water and gave her an epi at 4cm...I sure hope they dont play the up down up down game between pit and epi.
  • Happy thoughts and refocus your attention.. lol  Did you guys make a final name decision, or are you having a few and deciding once you meet her?
  • That is exactly what I worry about, when you mess with mother nature she sometimes gets angry. I only think you should be induced if there is some sort of danger where the baby is better off out in the world. I am so glad my doctor and I were on the same page. Glad the doctors appointment went well. I wouldnt worry about…
  • Rachael- that does not mean anything, I never dilated prior to active labor with my first 2 kiddos. I always felt bad because it seems that everyone around me was and not me but in the end it does nothing to speed up labor. Megan was dilated more than me and quicker yet I had Brooklynn at 38 w 5 d and Annabelle was 4 days…
  • Not sure why but Brooklynn does it all of the time too . I am curious as to the answer as well. I've been thinking about you guys and was hoping to hear from you soon. How did the whole aid thing work out? So glad you got to have a nice dinner with hubby. I will definately not be "one of those" moms, I really wouldn't mind…
  • I hope he realizes and turns around quickly, you are so strong and an amazing mom. Glad that you know how to handle her and put her at bay, my 3 BILs live their lives normally and do not take anything she says/does with a grain of salt. She always cries to him and throws a fit and he will play on my soft spot, no more. My…
  • Brittony- I will definitely make sure that my boys never feel the need to put me before their SO’s. He has gotten better over the years but it’s still not where it needs to be. He would rather have an argument with me than hurt her. Actually I don’t remember if I shared this but when I had Brooklynn and was being put in my…
  • Carina- Glad you two are going to counseling to try and work this through. Anne- I don't think mine have been like my moms and I sure hope my daughters are not like mine since they've all been so tough. Jamie- Sorry he is being such a jerk, I honestly think men can be totally dumb to that and you have to put it right there…
  • Carina- I'm so sorry you're going through this, I can't even tell you how badly I wish I could come though the computer and smack so sense into that Hubby of yours. you're such a sweet, caring, kind, and loving person. you're really going to need time to sort through all of these feelings, especially the lost trust. are…
  • Carina hugs to you, I’m sorry you’re having a difficult time. I’m here if you’d like to talk, I hope you can get through this. I think that things happen for a reason. You guys will be having your little girl soon, you're together and baby is very much wanted and loved. Thats all that matters  My mom and dad never…
  • Jamie-Mirena works real well for many, I just seem to have issues with everything Julie- I read on their site and it’s “recommended” I have an HMO so they would only offer if you have had a kid. The commercial also mentions having a child, I think it’s the doctors choice as sad as that it but the do push it hardcore. And…
  • Danielle – I had the weight gain with depo but I was the opposite with menstrual cycle, I had it for 9 months straight. I got the shot after my first was born and I had my cycle until I stopped taking it. I think we all don’t like condoms here. Rachel- I’m surprised they gave you mirena, maybe its because you’re in Canada…
  • If you decide on the IUD I would go with the copper t. It is non hormonal unline the mirena which is what they usually try to get people on. I had the mirena after my second baby and it caused me to get lots of cysts and they would rupture and I'd be in the ER so we didn't get along very well. I actually was considering…
  • Megan- You're so lucky, I wish Brooklynn would sleep through the night! Look at the rollie pollie though.... no way she could go all night without eating  I guess I should just be happy it is usually only 1 time I have to get up before my alarm and she eats quickly (about 15 mins) and goes right back down. Maybe…
  • Ronya- glad you had a great day shopping! Nothing wrong with bigger boobs, I'm enjoying them while theyre here to visit because I'm sure they'll be gone once I stop nursing.... especially since I'm losing weight  Julie- they say that the vitamin k shot is so that the brain doesn't bleed, never put much thought into…
  • They usually give it right after the baby is born when they're fixing you up in the delivery room. I only remember because you can clearly hear the nurse asking for my permission to give it to baby. I do not remember anything the last 2 times but I'm sure they asked hubby.
  • That's just the difference between men and women Yes, all of my babies have had them
  • Your appointment is usually 5-6 weeks postnatal and the first thing they ask you is what your plans are for birth control. Mind not turning off.... Hmm not sure it ever does. I think you're just going to have to get used to it because I'm pretty sure it comes with the territory. The other night we were laying in bed and…
  • Just remember that all of those contractions can do something. I was waiting for my water to break or to have bloody show with Brooklynn but it never happened. So just don't wait until you have either of those to go have yourself a baby, I know that with having so many contractions ahead of time it can seem so non chalant…
  • The doctors rush to get you on birth control when you go to your postnatal appointment. I would not have had this problem had everything gone according to plan and they tied my tubes, but they would not due to my hernia. My oldest gets out of school Friday and then hubby is going to get "fixed" rather than me. He does not…
  • A whole lot better, it has been just over a week and I am a whole new person. I was also pretty stressed since I take care of most of the stuff at home too so I talked to hubby about it and he has made an effort to get all of the bills together for me with amounts due and tag team dinner dishes and such so it is definately…
  • Rachel- I was a tummy sleeper, baby always let me know when to move Annabelle- you look great, you’ll get back down. Great walk Julie- I don’t miss those darn contractions Rachael – never had my water break nor did my mom … sorry Anne – great deal, that store is so expensive but high quality. My friend bought Brooklynn an…
  • Funny, I LOVE me some flip flops and I can't stand to be in jeans for longer than I have to be. I actually used to come to work with nice clothes, boots with heels and have my hair and make up done. Now it is such a rare thing that hubby gets excited! He really doesnt care what I do either, true love is what we…
  • I go to work and although I put on jeans I do not do anything more than a pony tail and no make up. I get up way too early and spend part of my day in a warehouse pulling orders. the joys of small business I wear many hats so nice clothes and make up are for when I go out only
  • Bethe- thanks and yay for sleep Jamie- add extra pumping sessions and hopefully it will help. It’s supposed to be supply and demand, fingers crossed. Ronya- thanks, hope you’re feeling better. Anne- sounds like a great mother to have Rachael – I <3 Edan
