Wow, that's crazy. I know what you mean when you said "I'm the only over-sized person in there and the rest of the class are athletes and the teacher is a work out fanatic!". I hate more than anything in the world being the only out of shape person in the room. On another note: You are PAYING her to teach. Not to poke at…

Bump...it looks pretty and delicious to me! Haha
-
Bump :) I have a ton of canned tuna I need to use up.
-
Bumpity bump bump lol. I love laughing cow cheese. My new favorite one is Light Queso with Chipotle. I scramble egg whites with it

It's not a stupid question, I've always had this problem haha. I recently bought a new bike....and also a separate seat :) It's from bell and its very cushy and a little wider at the back with a bit more rounding towards the front. I haven't had a single annoying butt pain since I started riding my bike.

My thoughts exactly haha...keep the chocolate monster at bay
-
I didn't even think of it that way! I'm sorry, I'm looking at my misleading title right now :blushing: haha chocolate? no chocolate here....
-
Haha yup I was at Walgreens and it was right at the register just like v****ens said. I try to sparsely treat myself with chocolate so I may get some more and toss them in the fridge because I have a feeling they won't start showing up in many stores for a while.

I've always had a problem accepting that the statement "if it doesn't burn, it's not working" is FALSE. You may not feel soreness until tomorrow, or you may only be "conscious" of your muscles. Doing something and sticking with it is what matters. If your goal is to tone and build muscle, work with a weight you can handle,…

Full time student (and when I say full time I really mean it haha) and I work part time at a bank. I'm on my feet part of the day, but with the option to sit when I want at work. My problems usually arise from not having enough time in the day and meal planning around a hectic schedule. When I'm not at school, I'm at work…

Egg whites with low sodium lunch-meat turkey and a laughing cow cheese wedge (they have a new flavor: Light queso fresco with chipotle...yum  ) Then I had a plain whole wheat English muffin on the side. Very yummy, quick, and filling :)

What a great topic! Bump :)

I'm not going to lie...when I quit smoking a while back, I gained weight. But at that point in my life I wasn't dedicated to becoming healthier and I wasn't thinking about what I was eating. I think you'll do fine (lots of gum!). Even if you gain a pound or two for a bit...that's okay! Your doing a lot better for yourself…

Oh my...I just discovered my new favorite recipe site :) thanks for the link!!!

These were good :) thanks for the laugh!

The MOST important thing is your well-being. A lot of the time, if emotional issues are addressed, weight loss becomes easier. I started taking wellbutrin a couple of months ago and I feel much better. I am losing weight and it does not seem at all like the anti-depressant is holding me back. It's in a different class from…

You look amazing! Congratulations and way to go! This is so inspiring too because we're about the same height, the starting weight was about the same, and 120 is my final goal. Thanks for showing me how this can go :)
-
Ugh. Everything goes straight to my hips, butt, and thighs lol. I am such a pear....however, the other day I measured my body ratio and I have the potential to possibly move more towards the hourglass/pear range haha.

Thank you everyone for the support and kindness :) I'm feeling a bit better today. I got to go and visit my grandpa yesterday with my family, and I've been also sorting out the things I need to do for work and school. I'm just going to play it day by day. At work today I realized my employer is actually more supportive…

I don't know if this helps anyone but I have the myfitnesspal app on my iphone and I'm able to see ALL of the nutrients. I was so excited when I found this.

Thanks so much for the encouraging words everyone! Really made me feel a lot better :) I've been taking my supplements (Fish oil, multivitamin, glucosamine +chrondrine, vitamin D, and CoQ10), as well as continuing to eat well and exercising as often as I can. I'm seeing a slight improvement in my energy and I've been doing…

This kind of topic really makes me pause and wonder what is wrong with people these days. I was brought up the right way. To be kind, to be polite...to be a good person. To recognize that everyone carries their own burden and hardships, and that it isn't right to put someone down especially when it isn't merited. Whenever…

Thanks everybody! There's some awesome stuff in here for me to get started with :)
-
I'm a bread girl so I hear you on this haha. I like Thomas Bagel thins (everything bagels  ) Either way, I like to make a sandwich out of it with protein and such. I like to put a base of 2-3 turkey slices down, maybe some egg whites, spinach, and hummus or something like that.
-
This is definitely some good stuff for me to work with :) thank you!!!

I've never been in this type of situation before, but I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for what has happened to you and I can only imagine how you must feel. Right now, take care of you. Allow yourself to grieve for your loss and work through your feelings. Spend time with family and friends, and don't feel bad asking…

Hmm good question. I still want to go to the gym 3 times a week to get on the bike and do strength training. I'm thinking abs + back area focus one day, arms + shoulders another day, and a blend on the third (I'm not actually sure if this makes sense or not haha).
-
Thanks guys :) and I believe too, because I'm going to keep carrying this attitude :)
-
I know, exercise helps me out a lot....sometimes the knees just don't allow for it grr haha.

VegGrrl, no I haven't yet, but that seems like a good idea! I've never had traditional allergies, but I am allergic to Soy in a pure form (soy milk, soy protein nuggets, endamame). It sucks because I see soy lecithin in everything and I have no idea if it's affecting me... Thanks for the info!
